I was so excited when I found about this place on Nextdoor! I love the Half Price Books at Fremont Hub but I always wished that there was a bookstore with newer books closer to home. Banter Bookshop is decently sized and has a great selection. The store feels cozy and bright and the staff are super friendly! I love that I can support a small, local, women-owned business rather than buying from a big corporation too. I'll definitely be a regular customer :)

Honestly one of the best places to buy books. Staff are very helpful. If they don't have the book in stock they will order for you. The displays are always so beautifully done. I love just looking in the window. Follow on IG @banterbookshop to see new releases on Tuesdays, guest speakers and storytime events. This bookstore is such a wonderful addition to our community.

I was so excited when I found about this place on Nextdoor! I love the Half Price Books at Fremont Hub but I always wished that there was a bookstore with newer books closer to home. What a gem to find this pretty bookstore in my neighborhood! With Barnes and Noble and Borders long gone from this area, there was only Half Price Books left, and that store just does not have the new and fantastically curated collection that this store has. Congrats and thank you to Amy for starting this business. We loved our visit and we will be sure to be back. I love Banter Bookshop! It’s such a cute place and great addition to the Fremont community, and the staff here are so helpful. If they don’t have a book in stock they are quick to order it and get it to you. I love being able to bike over and pick up my orders or just come in and browse. And I always feel better knowing my dollars are supporting a local independent bookstore instead of places...
