Gaters is a must-try! I personally love, LOVE, middle eastern food, and so I'm always trying new middle eastern restaurants. While I'm by no mean an expert in this particular cuisine, I can honestly say that the food here is absolutely drool-worthy.
Normally I get the gyro wrap, and I think it's a fail-proof choice for those not familiar with this cuisine or not sure what they want. However, this time I decided I was craving some basmati rice and so went with the chicken plate. The chicken plate did not disappoint! The chicken was packed with flavor, the basmati rice is fluffy and perfect coupled with the meat. The HUMMUS, house-made, fresh, no preservatives (seems like), and all-around perfect. For the gyro wrap, you can order it with a side of fries for an additional charge. Although fresh, they can sometimes forget to include it with your order (happened twice to me now!)
Service was very friendly and fast. The restaurant space is on the smaller side, but kept clean.
Have been coming here for a few years now, will continue to be back as long as service, food quality/portion/price...
Read moreI ate Gaters once about a year ago. I had dismissed this place as just sub par Mediterranean food that I personally did not enjoy. I had no intention of leaving a review.
I was just tricked into eating their food. They are currently operating on doordash as "The Burger Hole". I have never felt scammed after ordering a burger. So kudos to a memorable experience I guess?
To rate their side business as well: They are not selling burgers. The meat in my "burger" was not entirely beef as it was advertised. The cheese was not the kind advertised. The bun they advertised was circular, I received a roll (this would have been fine if it was advertised that way.) The feta fries contained no feta.
If you haven't noticed the theme here, this was a case of flat out false advertising to such a degree that it was likely illegal. The food was not actually horrible, but I was lied to. If I knew this was coming from Gaters I would not have ordered it. I do not like your food. I was tricked into...

Totally disappointed with the food and felt cheated
Worst Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. Ordered a falafel plate and double checked to confirm if they can substitute saffron rice instead of pita bread and the person on phone agreed that they can definitely make it. Finally when I opened the box all that was there was a bunch of cabbages, few bell peppers and a small box of white basmati rice with a few cumin here and there. Should they call it cumin rice, I don’t think so but it was definitely not saffron rice. Falafels was as salty as they could be. Was able to manage one falafel for hunger, by the end of it my tongue couldn’t get the taste of anything else. Hummus on the other hand was merely there. Charged me good 13.5$ for a full box that just...
