Yesterday (8/30/25) I went to Sujus to get a refreshing drink for my wife and I. I've frequented Sujus for many years now and yesterday's experience is probably the worst I've had in recent years. The person who took my order was very distracted and not engaging whatsoever. She took my order, I ask what was in one of the smoothies she frustrating handed me what appeared to be an ingredients list for those type of drinks. The experience was nowhere near personal. I didn't feel welcomed at all. The person making the drinks was just as bad, she yelled out "2 small Frappes" I was standing near the counters where they had you the drinks and food you have just ordered. I said "can you please tell which is which?" Instead just kindly writing on one of them what the drink is and I can figure out the other by the friendly gesture, she says "the vanilla bean as you can see has small specs in it, Sir!" Based on this past experience, I will definitely think twice before coming here again. To the manager, I would recommend considering a retraining in appropriate customer service...
Read moreReally nice coffee shop, I come here often to get work done and meet up with friends. I almost always purchase something here to show my love and support for Suju's. Today however, as soon as I had arrived, maybe 3-5 minutes into sitting down and getting settled; the manager/owner who was roasting the coffee beans came up to me and addressed that I purchase something or leave the coffee shop immediately. Trying to explain myself(that I had just gotten here and am also disabled in crutches), the manager/owner continued to speak to me in a hostile manner. I'm not one to usually leave reviews, but the way he handled the situation(from his approach to the dialogue, even after) was incredibly poor. I most likely will not be coming back here again. As a business your customer acquisition is everything, and this might just be me but simply "being nice" goes hand in hand with your customer acquisition. Thanks for being my go-to spot, until now. I guess I'll just show my support to corporate companies like Starbucks...
Read moreUnfortunately, this Suju's location has gone downhill. Within the past few weeks, I've noticed a regular occurrence of empty tables being dirty when I go to sit at them. Today, during my usual study session with friends (I find myself at Suju's studying every Monday and Wednesday, sometimes more often), the owner saw me sitting at a table meant for four and said, "You can't just save tables. I have customers that need to sit," in an irate tone. While I understand why he wanted other customers to take the other half of the table I was occupying, I wish he hadn't been so rude about it. He could have simply said, "Sorry, ma'am, it's busy, and I'm afraid I need to give that other half of the table away." I would have been fine with that; I just didn't appreciate him assuming I was unreasonable and expressing frustration with me for sitting at a table for...
