My experience at Tai Pan BBQ Express Dim Sum was nothing short of a complete and utter disappointment. The rudeness and arrogance displayed by the customer service staff were absolutely unacceptable, tarnishing what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.
From the moment I entered the establishment, I was met with condescending glares and dismissive attitudes from the staff. It was evident that they had little regard for providing courteous and attentive service to their customers. My simple inquiries were met with eye-rolls and sighs, making me feel like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer.
The lack of professionalism extended to the quality of the food and service itself. The dim sum I ordered was overcooked and cold, showing a blatant disregard for culinary standards. When I brought up my concerns to the staff, they were defensive and refused to acknowledge any fault, further cementing their arrogance and lack of accountability.
Furthermore, the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. The tables were sticky, and the floors were littered with food scraps, giving the impression of a poorly maintained and unhygienic establishment.
What truly appalled me was the complete lack of respect shown to other patrons as well. I witnessed the staff arguing with customers and making snide remarks, displaying a complete disregard for basic customer service etiquette.
In conclusion, Tai Pan BBQ Express Dim Sum falls short in every aspect, from its rude and arrogant customer service to its mediocre food and unclean environment. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment, as it fails to deliver on even the most basic standards of dining experience. There are plenty of other dim sum restaurants in the area that provide not only better food but also a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for their customers. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by choosing a different...
Read moreToday, I had the pleasure of visiting this takeout-only restaurant for the first time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by two ladies with warmth and hospitality. We didn’t know what to order at first, and they didn’t make us feel rushed at all. In fact, they were very kind and attentive. They even offered us a free sample of one of their specialties. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their customers. And their food truly tastes like something from your favorite aunties kitchen!!
My boyfriend was a regular here before we started dating, but four years later, it was my first time going with him! It’s truly a gem. They pack the food to the brim, and it's enough to feed us for about four meals tbh. We got two lunch plates with Vegetarian Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken (perfect chicken to breading ratio, and the sauce is addicting), Tofu and Eggplant (sooo flavorful), Roast Duck (my boyfriend's favorite) and cabbage, and an ice cold soda! They even added forks and napkins which a lot of other places forget to do.
If you’re looking for a lunch place that will satisfy both your appetite and your eyes, don’t hesitate to go here. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the service is nothing short of wonderful.

Read moreFood/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - Daily special with fried rice, BBQ pork, broccoli beef, and kung pao chicken. The fried rice was simple but good. The BBQ pork that was freshly cut was pretty dry and the sauce added seemed to soak into the rice itself rather than stay with the protein. The broccoli beef was nicely cooked with the broccoli being tender and the beef with a slight bite still. The kung pao chicken was EXTREMELY salty
Shu mai was decent. While it's only 3 pieces, they are pretty big pieces
Ambience: 2/5 - there was water dripping in the middle of the store with a bucket to catch with dirty footprints everywhere. Definitely older store and it feels like it could use a deep clean
Service: 5/5 - lady was really nice and friendly. The pricing was a bit confusing since there's extra charges for certain meats and slightly different prices based on which menu you look at
Value for price: 4/5 - decent price even with the extra charge for BBQ pork. We did go closer to the end of the day so it does seem some of the items have been sitting there longer which may have affected the taste/texture of some...
