A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Frenchtown Charter Township

Was the only person in line when I went to the drive through and waited at the speaker for five to ten minutes or so, every few minutes checking to see if there was a response. Drove around to the window and waited for a few more when I seen workers which one came to the window. I told them their speaker wasn't working and while she was telling me someone was just responding I seen the other employee picking up their headset who was chatting it up in the background. It's one thing for employees to not be doing their job, it's another to then seem like as a normal everyday customer that you are being inconvenient to them by trying to place an order. Something really rubbed me the wrong way about that, but funnily enough when I clicked on reviews to write one the only other comment I seen sounded like they had a similar problem so I am assuming it is a common occurrence and I hope they get it straightened out since a&w is one of the few decent...

I would would rate and I would rate a&w 5 stars they have good food good service The food is hot it's it's ready and a timely manner there is a waiting line however it is an expensive they give good coupons I only have one complaint though when the place was was closed because there was a parking lot that needed to be redone and a few other things it's kind of unfair that that I had to throw away the rest of my coupons because they expired and I kind of wished that that at least they could be honored for for the time that was lost you know what I mean like I kind of wish that maybe a extension would be given or something like that you know what I mean so I kind of wish that that would happen and there is wheelchair accessible there is a wheelchair you know accessible entrance and and plenty of parking so I would recommend it they have they have good food hot dogs and and hamburgers and fries and indoor seating and...

It kind of looks like a dive. There are not many cars in the parking lot. The inside is clean but "old" looking. So, I ordered the Papa burger combo. And had a seat. I wanted to sit at a table vs. Eat whe driving. While eating, looking out of the window, I noticed why the parking lot seemed too empty and the dining room, also. During my meal, there was a steady stream of drive through business. When in Monroe, I ate there at least four times. It is the taste of the food that kept me coming.ing back and the drive-thru window busy. It must be the "Papa" sauce on the burger! BTW while eating, I looked for a copy-cat recipe for the sauce.
