Lotus Cafe — Restaurant in Monroe

A true hidden gem. Great first time experience and definitely not the last. My girlfriend and I came in for coffee originally and we witnessed a woman who raved about the tomato soup, claiming it was the best she’s ever had- of course my girlfriend and I had to try it and we were amazed with the quality! We also ordered Lotus’s turkey, ham, bacon panini and it was exactly what we needed. My girlfriend ordered the masala chai, saffron matcha iced latte, and mandarin cardamom refresher- she loved the craft drinks and its unique flavors! I ordered their mocha latte, and the espresso and chocolate combination was delightful. Lotus is more than just a café, as not only do they have coffee and pastries, but they also have full food dishes and smoothies. There are many different types of food, but an Indian theme is present, especially in the full meals like Butter Chicken or drinks like Chai Masala. The coffee was good, pastries great, and a very fair price overall! A great area to stay at for an extended time or just to check in and grab a small snack.

The establishment has its own parking space next to a convenient road; the building itself has 3 main areas, which consists of a small window-side sitting area, the ordering area, and a larger sitting area. Can easily fit large groups. Perfect for all...

I cannot express my excitement enough to finally have an authentic Indian cuisine here in Monroe. Once you walk in you are in a relaxing atmosphere and great music in the background. Today I grabbed authentic Chai with Masala, ginger and Cardamom (all three.. love these flavours) Lotus Special Chicken Tikka Masala sandwich and these insanely delicious desserts of Galaba. (Not sure if I spelled that properly... Apologies) I also had some cookies to go with the chai, perfect one for each hand!
