Updated review: We had a gift basket for Mother's day that was beautifully crafted with Sourdough, oatmeal cookies, jam, kitchen towel and card arranged in a gift basket. The Sourdough was delicious! A firm, but not overly crusty outside, with a soft and delicate inside. The tanginess was exactly what we were looking for in a loaf of sourdough. Oatmeal cookies were tasty and the vendor Bethany chose for the jam was a great compliment.
Next time Rising Joy puts out baskets for holidays definitely consider them for gifts to get something thoughtful and yummy too!
Previous Review: Ordered the combination Everything/Plain bagels. The bagels have a hearty chew since they are made from Sourdough. We enjoyed having them warm and fresh at our pickup time. Tried them without cream cheese and toppings, as well as with cream cheese, lox and capers.
In our personal opinion we'd like the bagels just a tad softer, but not sure if possible with Sourdough. We'd order the bagels again, but just our preference. Also, we'd love it a bit more tangy/sour, but we also love vinegar on our fries so take that for what it's worth haha.
All in all, support local and try Rising Joy, looking forward to trying the sourdough loaves and...
Read moreMy first order from Rising Joy Sourdough was outstanding, everything from the website order process to pick up, to the amazing bread and cookies. The website was intuitive and easy to use. I was able to quickly process my order and understand the process for pickup. Pick up was easy and extremely friendly. Everything was ready on time and packaged beautiful yet very functional. I ordered a loaf of sandwich bread, chocolate sourdough and half dozen cookies. Everything tastes fantastic and was baked well. I have high expectations and Rising Joy didn't just meet them, they exceed them. I am looking forward to seeing this business grow and expand their product offering. Read moreWe have ordered from Rising Joy a few times now and each time has been delicious! The sandwich bread slices well and isn't dry even days later. The bread is not overly sour and fits in a standard toaster. We ordered the artisan bread for a family dinner around Christmas, and it was not only wrapped so sweetly, it also had a Christmas tree design on it. The pattern made it hard to slice up because it was so aesthetically pleasing to show off.
My family loved the bread that they ate more bread than they did the dinner. I sliced and toasted some under the broiler and left some untoasted. It had a great crust on it and was dense yet airy. We look forward to trying the other breads and baked goods Rising Joy...
