First off, this is not a reflection on our server who did an exceptional job answering our questions and frequently checking in on us. However, the overall experience for us was Not Satisfactory. We went in with high expectations knowing the quality of service we have experienced at The Annex Kitchen. We ordered two meals, a pizza and a chicken parm. My partners pizza came out and my meal did not arrive at the same time. We figured it was a small delay from the kitchen (completely fine)...this was not the case. We waited well over 10 minutes and asked our server about our second dish. She stated it would be out shortly. Again, totally fine! We continued to wait, and decided we would share the pizza because who wants to eat cold pizza served fresh?? We noticed our server speaking to whom we believe is the manager and she shortly approached us after. She stated the dish would be out in 2 minutes and hoped our experience was good so far. She gave us no eye contact (literally was looking elsewhere while she spoke and served us water), no apology for the wait, and complete disregard to our needs at that point. We did get that second dish and we did enjoy our meals! So, we left it at that. Shortly after our meals we received our tab. We made the mistake of assuming it was input correctly and not checking before we provided our card. Well, we were charged double our drinks and we brought it up to our server. She stated the manager input the additional drinks possibly by accident. Once we received our revised bill we did not see a VOID on the original transaction. We brought it to the attention of the assistant manager. She started off by saying "sorry," then followed with, "I was going to buy you guys drinks on the house because I felt bad and for your unfortunate experience" (we never received anything). What kind of customer service is that! Why even mention that to us??? My thought was, "we must not be valuable enough as customers". At this point I could care less for free drinks and more about customer service!! I worked as a server for many years and I was taught to handle situations like these better than she did overall! Anyhow, she stated she does not VOID transactions so she does not have to double charge the card. Okay, I can see her perspective and glad she takes that into consideration. We should have received close to $30 back that we were overcharged for. But, our bank statement did not reflect what she charged us after she fixed our bill. Why wouldn't she ask us what we would like to do with the error? What if we would have preferred a VOID on the card and used a different form of payment before making her own decision? I have never had a assistant manager handle a situation in this manner. It was very dishearten to say the least! We asked for her business card to follow up with her incase our transaction does not update as she stated. I hope this is taken serious and into consideration with the general manager along with the owner. I'm certain, I will return to this establishment as I value their quality in food and hope this is a fluke. Just know, every customer walking through your doors deserves to be valued and cared for...

Honestly, it's a great pizza place! Me-N-Eds in riverpark now has competition for sure for the best pizza place in that area. The atmosphere was cool, me and my wife and kids liked it. Me a d my wife both liked the bar and the outdoor patio the most. Also the men's restroom is nice as well plus the baby changing table in there looks like it's made out of very stable material, because I've been to other places and it feel like my son is going to fall with the changing table just due to the tables being super flimsy and made of cheaper plastic.

The server "Chase" did an amazing job! Very informative and helped us by giving us what people usually order. What he liked and what we should order. The plates that we ordered were amazing 👏 taste great!

Let's talk about each item

•Mozz sticks Taste wonderful. They were for sure hand-made and mixed into their own batter for deep fry and taste fresh and delicious.

•Kids cheese pizza The pizza was bigger than I imagined, so we split it with my 2 kids to eat. Taste good, just a bit too much oil on top of the pizza.

•sandwich I forgot the name of the Italian sandwich they had there, but for a pizza place, the sandwich was delicious, plus the salad tasted amazing 👏 and the sourdough they used taste good.

•pineapple pizza Hmmmm I have mixed feelings about the pizza. I love the idea of changing it up and giving it a different look and giving it a bit of a different taste but still let it be a pineapple pizza, but I guess I'm used to the ham or bacon not to use to the prosciutto in the pizza but I liked the thought of changing it up. Overall, I liked it but probably won't order the same pizza again. 😕

Overall, 4 stars, mainly due to the fact that the kid menu, there isn't variety for my kids to pick from. But other than that. We will come back but just me and my wife for drinks for a...

My daughter and SIL treated us to dinner at Annesso last night and overall I was really impressed. We had reservations and were seated within ~ 5 min of arrival. It was 104° outside and they seated in a back corner where the ceiling was a little lower than the rest of restaurant and the AC vents were right above us and it was actually too cold for us in that location so they reseated us at another booth - very comfortable. They were quick to bring us both a carafe of water and a bottle of -- dunno, but I'm thinking it was just carbonated water (but never asked) all good. We had a really nice and very helpful server who helped us navigate the drinks, appetizers, and meals. Since I have rarely eaten at a restaurant that serves good spaghetti and meatballs - that is what I ordered. Was told by the server that all ingredients, including the pasta, are made right their in the kitchen. Gotta say, it was the best pasta spaghetti I've ever had and now understand the meaning of AL DENTE. It was perfect. The sauce and the meatballs were really good as well (although nothing I can't do as well in my own kitchen). All around, there were no complaints on the food, only praise. And although the portions were all ample, we only took home a few pieces of pizza. The only downside here is that do to the great food, the place attracts a lot of people and there's LOTS of loud chatter going on, as well music (which another reviewer mentioned). So bottom line, you go here for the great food, not the ambiance. 10/10 would return again. Note: cost of my spaghetti: $19.00 --- the meatballs were an additional $7 Glass of Chianti: $14.00 —————————————— [edit- 12/9/22]. added pic of kale salad my wife ordered on tonight’s visit. It was big enuf for 3 or 4 servings. We took some home.

On our way to Yosemite we tried to find a good Italian restaurant at Fresno but found that most of highly recommended restaurants were closed on Monday. As an alternative my family of three went to Annesso Pizzeria and what a great Plan B it turned out to be! Back in CT, we used to live nearby Frank Pepe’s, considered to be the best New Haven style pizza in the States, which We miss a lot. After having trained my palate at Pepe’s, it has become more and more difficult to find a satisfactory Pizzeria. First and Last Tavern at Wethersfield, Bettina at Santa Barbara, and Mizza at Santa Barbara were among those few Pizzerias that satisfied my palate. Now I include Annesso in their league. To avoid waiting we went there early, around 4:30, and immediately served. Ordered Margherita (to me a golden standard of pizza), Funghi, Meatball with polenta, and Chicken Alfredo. We also ordered bread and olive oil for dip, which to my little surprise they charged ($3, $1, respectively). Meatball and Alfredo were average. But their pizzas were so good that even though my stomach was already full, I craved more. Obviously their specialty is in pizza. To pair with pizza I ordered Peroni tab and then Chianti Classico. Peroni was good but Chianti lacked its lean and acidic character with hardly any bouquet. Since that was the only Italian red in their list (I don’t know why their list is dominated by Cab when their specialty is in pizza), even though I wanted to have another glass of Tuscan red, I gave up and ordered another Peroni. Next time I come around here I hope I find more Chianti, Vino Nobile, Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello, Barbaresco, Barbera d’asti, and so on. Food: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Interior: 9/10
