First and only visit here for my daughter's birthday. Place seemed dirty. Table coverings and menus were sticky. No Parmesan, red pepper flakes or Olive oil/balsamic vinegar to be found on the table. Plain cold bread with butter squares were delivered. Servers pretty good and courteous. I ordered Chicken Marsala as my usual standard to check out an Italian restaurant. Came with steamed broccoli and the side pasta with marinara sauce. Side salad was okay. Everything on the chicken Marsala plate must have come from a can except the pasta. My daughter and son in law each ordered eggplant parmesan. Unfortunately, my Chicken Marsala by far was the worst I'd ever had in my life. I swear the sauce had loads of sweet high fructose sugar...almost maple syrup? Inedible. The marinara sauce on the spaghetti pasta was sparse, likely canned and completely tasteless. Ordered a party appetizer platter to start and everything on it was definitely poured frozen from a bag in to oil. None of us could finish our meals or the appetizers. Oh, well...it was memorable. The waitress did ask me how the meal was and since she asked, I felt maybe she should hear it. I was quiet and discrete, but told her the truth. Bummer, my daughter and son in law just moved to the area and had hoped to find a 'go to' Italian restaurant. Other reviews indicated the place used to be pretty good. Current...
Read moreI'm not sure if we went on an off night but our experience at this DiCicco's was no where near the quality that we have experienced at our local DiCicco's in Oakhurst, Ca. They were not busy at all and it took well over ten minutes for anyone to even come to the table. When a girl came to our table she didn't introduce herself or even say hi. She took our drink orders and when asked if we could get a couple apps she said she would let our waitress know. When our waitress came to the table we asked if she had been told about our app order and she said no so we ordered them again. We got two orders of calamari rings and they did arrive fairly quickly and were hot but after a couple of bites we started noticing that there were some bad, very fishy and mushy, rings. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. The eggplant parmesan was meh, the fettuccine alfredo with prawns had a nice sauce but the shrimp tasted off and the antipasto salad was so buried under jarred pickled veggies the salad it self was smothered in vinegar. On a more positive note the service did improved as the meal went on. Our server was attentive and accomadating to our long dinner. I would let you know who our server was but she didn't introduce...
Read moreYeah I don't know. We sat down with friends who had been there 15 min before us. They had drank all their water. After we finished ours (our appetizer order had been taken), it was about 30 - 45 minutes before we finally got it. Then we put in our food order (which took another hour) and when that came out, we received our first refill, which we had to ask for. 3 out of the 4 dishes were done wrong and the ingredients were terrible. Chicken was too undercooked and the cheese felt as it had been microwaved. Needless to say we asked to see a manager, but guess what? I was being funny and said, "what if there isn't a manager here, at this point it wouldn't be out of the question." And then proceeded to be told that there wasn't a manager on duty, lol! He told us he would get someone "higher up" and then brought back one of the bussers, which we had seen bussing tables beforehand. So yeah, 2 of the people at our table were servers of their own restaurant and they felt really bad for not leaving a tip, but I'm sorry that's not happening when there was no one to leave a tip to. We had at least 3 servers and they all sucked. Very unprofessional like in my opinion.
Anyways, tldr, food sucked, long wait time, and bad service, also...
