So my kids and I stopped for lunch at this Jack in the Box, on our way back to Idaho from California, because it's was the first place we all agreed uppn. We don't particularly frequent JITB more than other fast food places, but we might if they were all as great as this one. When we walked in, we were greeted by a nice lady who checked to see if we were ready to order. She was gracious and kind gave us more time because we were not ready. She put up with us needing to use the bathroom (which she had to buzz us into because doors were locked for customers only). She waited as we looked over the menu. Made kind small talk as we tried to make up our minds. All the while.... Waiting for us with a smile. Her name is Kay. I'm assuming she is a manager/shift leader because her uniform set her apart. She kindly took our order, was pleasant when my credit card was denied (I'd already maxed it out from our vacation) and quickly got us back on track and our order completed. Kay not only was delightful, but she went above and beyond. She paid attention to what each of us ordered and bagged our to-go order individually so we each had our own bagged lunch. Not only that, she also wrote on each bag what the contents were. Thanks to her we didn't have to half open each sandwich to figure out whose was whose. And...... She thought it had taken too long to get our food she gave us a complimentary order of churros. We actually thought it was faster than our wait at local Idaho JITB's and we're surprised she thought it had taken a long time. We were so impressed with Kay's customer service!!! She was friendly, polite, genuine and offered quick, efficient service above anything we've seen in a fast food establishment. So if we could go back to be served by Kay again, we would. But... As we live in Idaho, we may never see Kay again. If you stop at this JITB tell Kay hi for us and...
Read moreThis location refuses to turn off the open sign, visible from the freeway off-ramp all of the the drive-thru menus are lit up, interior lighting and outside lighting. Everything indicates this business is open when in fact it is not. That renders this business an attractive nuisance.
On three separate occasions over the last 5 months, I have stopped only to find that the restaurant is closed. They continue to lure people in with an open sign on, full lighting inside & out and the menus lighted. The business appears to be open and it's very frustrating to pull in there on the way to work only find they are closed. One time I even advised the employees that the sign was on indicating the business was open. They seemed unimpressed and did not turn off the open sign. I called the corporate office and complained and emailed them photos timestamped. BOTTOM LINE! THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE INCONVENIENCED.
What's up with this Jack? So extremely rude. Not conducive to good...
Read moreThe food is good when it's in stock. I had to do research to see if there's a potato shortage but there's not. So I'm trying to understand why this specific establishment seems to run out of French fries and curly fries weekly. The only logical conclusion is the management Isn't keeping track of supplies and ordering more when needed.
I've also noticed this restaurant is usually short staffed causing the lines to be tremendous during certain time frames. A good manager would schedule extra staff during peak times.
A lot of times my burger is cold by the time I get home and I live only a few minutes from this place. They must not have microwaved the burger enough before putting it in the bag. They also forget my sauce often. What's a munchie meal without the sauce?
I hope this place turns itself around. The potential is there but the lack of support from management and corporate...
