Had been wanting to try this place for some time and finally had a chance on a Sunday afternoon. Place definitely has a nice and cozy atmosphere, but is on the smaller side. Not too overwhelming of a menu. My wife ordered the kimchi butter chicken katsu dish, and I ordered the short ribs, both with Mac salad. We also got a salmon belly masubi and an Ube horchata. The chicken was extremely good, full of flavors, crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The kalbi short ribs were marinated perfectly and was grilled (yes, grill marks were present!) perfectly as well! We loved that the Mac salad wasn't too strong in flavors, and played the complementary role perfectly! We both also enjoyed the salmon belly masubi, but the surprise was the Ube Horchata drink! We weren't expecting much, but it was so refreshing! We'll definitely be back to try more of the other items on the menu, as well as another order of...

Ohana Shack is definitely a hole in the wall, and I'm so glad I stumbled across it. I was never a fan of poke until last year when I went on a trip to Maui and tried all the authentic poke and Hawaiian foods. My problem before Hawaii was that most poke I tried was bland and vinegary. But since I've been back from Hawaii, I was looking for a place that had more of that Hawaiian-style poke. I found Ohana Shack driving past and stopped in.

Let me just say their salmon "like-like" poke bowls are amazing. It tastes just like the ones I ate in Maui. I've been back over a dozen times and always order the same thing: large salmon "like-like" bowl with steamed rice and crab mix, no greens. It's so nice because, like authentic Hawaiian poke, it is served on warm steamed rice instead of sushi rice! The portion is great too and ends up leaving me with leftovers.

I love this place and will continue...

Experience was very good. The food was great. It was one of the better meals I've had in a very long time. I thought seriously about going back the next day and having the same meal again. I got the katsu chicken and it was perfect. It came on a bed of rice and the side I chose was the macaroni salad. I also had one of their fruit drinks and it was delicious. While I was there I noticed they get a lot of Door Dash orders so if you don't want to drive there you can order delivery at Door Dash. It's a very small building with limited seating but when I went it the seating area was not busy. The only thing that I could say was a possible negative was that everybody clears off their tables before they leave, but I didn't see anyone wiping the tables down after the guest left. Just be prepared to look and make sure your table is clean. I will definitely go back...
