Tacos Nayarit — Restaurant in Fresno

This place had great ratings, so I was very excited to try the food. When I first arrived,I noticed the place was full of flies around 40 flies. I still decided to give them a try. I noticed that the person at the register was eating, and when I arrived at the counter, she stopped to take my order. She then started to make my food without washing her hands. That was the first red flag. As I was waiting for my food, I was surrounded by flies landing on me every 5 seconds. I still waited patiently for my food. When they called my order out they gave me 3 napkins and noticed that she was using her bare hands to add the meet a d the condiments on my tacos and my napkins were full of the food that she had on her hands. When the owner finished eating, he decided to go to the kitchen and started killing flies with a wet towel. I felt disgusted imagining how the kitchen was full of flies and they were getting killed with a towel and just falling everywhere. I ate 1 taco out of the 4, and the meat was mostly fat. When you walk in the door like I did at lunchtime, this place has the sizzle and smell of a great taco place. But as I looked around at the ramshackle & empty interior, this did not look like the kind of place I’d want to return to. I ordered a carne asada burrito. It was massive and a good value for $9.
