I enjoy myself a nice cup of tea when in the mood. Sometimes on a cold winter night, I'll make an occasional trip to teazers to warm up with a nice cup of chai tea.
During the summer season, I like to refresh my senses and channel my inner roots with a cup of raspberry tea with a hint of hibiscus. I remember these drinks because the impact and experience I had with them when I was recommended when I first visited teazers. It was the customer service and friendliness that made me a happy supporter of the spot and I have had no problems since...
Until tonight.
I came to fellowship with friends and enjoy my usual night out on the town, but I had stopped by Dutch bros to enjoy another favorite drink of mine and thus could not finish it before I stepped into the establishment.
Upon going to the back and sitting with friends, I was immediately told to not block the fire exit which was fine as I understand safety regulations but one thing really bothered me, the next phrase uttered to me was "We don't allow outside drinks." I was immediately disappointed to hear that as many of my friends and clients for business meetings were not interrupted when they brought outside drinks throughout the times I had been there. The tone was very short and cold, which made me feel unwelcome, undoing the connection that had been made and the look the employee gave me was one of disgust.
It would seem that the staff has changed and the atmosphere destroyed. A place that had been a wonderful edition to my list of reviews has tarnished it's reputation and you have lost a customer.
I will not be returning to any teazers for tea as they seem to only value those who exclusively purchase their own drinks. I am very disappointed as the same treatment had happened to friends of mine before I got there on...
Read moreMy friend called the River park location and asked to make a reservation for the tea party service and was informed that a reservation was not necessary as walk ins were welcome. We found this to be a bit odd but assumed that since the worker deemed a reservation unnecessary, we would just do the walk in as advised. So the next day, 9/22 at around 2:20pm, we walk in and ask to do the tea party and are told that they werent doing that. When we explained that we had called ahead of time and were told to just walk in, the worker just kinda looked through her phone and said that she wasn't the one who took the call but that she guessed that they could do the tea party but it would be a 30 minute wait.
That was fine for me and my friends so we sat down and waited. It wasn't busy and there were at least 4 people on staff at the time. From what I could see none of them were doing anything to prepare for the tea party like setting up food or dishes. We waited for over 30 minutes, not being checked on or given any updates so we decided it wasn't worth it to stay and left.
The staff members were rude and unwelcoming and I'm sure that the only reason they said it was going to be a 30 minute wait was to get us to leave because they just didnt want to do it. Mind you there's a huge sign in Teazer right next to the tea room that lets you know the days and hours of operation for the tearoom and that they take walk ins and reservations.
This was a very disappointing experience and if these workers just didn't want to do the tea party, that's fine people can be lazy sometimes whatever, but at least figure out an excuse to tell customers instead of treating them poorly and making them wait for something you're not...
Read moreThe tea is great here but the service could really use help. I went in to purchase some tea and tea filters but apperently the price sticker on the tea filters is not what you will actually pay. If the sticker on the product says $10.99 (plus the tax) then you should be charged that. The employee seemed to be guessing the price of the item when he didn’t know there was already a price on it telling the one at the register “sure let’s go with $12.99 why not?”. When shown the price on the sticker he then wanted to go with what the “system” told him. Saying “the system doesn’t allow me to charge anything else”. He then proceeded to putting the same product with the $10.99 price back on the shelf instead of changing it since he apperently won’t honor the price stated. The whole situation felt as though he doesn’t care much about his job and especially the customer. I won’t be returning here if they care as little as he does for...
