Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Fresno

We love Texas Roadhouse so we decided to celebrate my husband and daughter's birthday there on September 14th. I called at 12 to tell them we would be there with a party of 10 and again at 3 to confirm; at that time they confirmed with a manager that they could set up a reservation. We arrived slightly before 5. When our table wasn't ready, I told them that wasn't a problem we understand they are busy but that I had made the reservation to avoid having to stand around beings that I recently had surgery and it was painful to stand for too long. The hostess told me they don't make reservations despite the fact that I had been told that a manager confirmed my reservation at 3 that day.

Whatever, right, they call us to sit down a little bit after 5:30 only to seat us in two booths completely separate from each other and then told us that THEY COULD NOT ACCOMMODATE A PARTY OF 10 IN THEIR RESTAURANT. After calling twice and checking in not ONCE did someone tell us the restaurant was not equipped to accommodate us.There were other places that we could have sat right in front of our eyes where our party could have sit so that we wouldn't be completely separate and the manager refused to accommodate us. Said there wasn't a server at those tables 5 feet away from where we were sitting. We decided to stay beings that we have small children who needed to eat and then right in front of us, we watched the restaurant accommodating another party at the table right next to us. And the final straw was that they sat several more parties all around us, took our order first but we didn't receive our food for more than an hour after placing out order.

I try not to write too many bad reviews and I know I'm no one special but as someone who used to work in a restaurant that made sure to accommodate our guests to the best of our ability, ESPECIALLY after failing to properly communicate the restaurants policies and standards, it was very dissappointing the way we were treated. If they had told us when we called that they could not accommodate us, we could have found somewhere else to celebrate our families birthdays. Instead we sat in too separate booths had get up to pass appetizers and bread back and forth and had to wait for a ridiculous amount of time which felt like they did that on purpose they were irritated that I asked to speak to the manager as if I had done something wrong. I really want to leave a good review. I don't like feeling like I'm bashing a place or being a bad unruly customer, but I genuinely had a poor experience dining here.

Two of the three people in my party ordered burgers, which is usually my favorite here. We all received our food in an incredibly spaced out fashion. I understand the kitchen may have a hard time keeping up and as long as everyone gets their food that's all I care about, but the worst part was both burgers were so cold the cheese was completely unmelted. One of our sides (fries) took 30 minutes to come out, if we would have known we would have just ordered something else.

Our server hardly checked in with us, she only took our orders and dropped off a side of sauce for us, and didn't check in again until we were basically finished with our meal. It was unfortunate because she was incredibly attentive to the table right beside us, constantly checking their beverages and asking if there was anything they needed, which made us feel incredibly unimportant.

When we finally did get ahold of her again it had been about 20-30 minutes, and at that point I had just taken the loss and eaten about 1/4 of my burger so I didn't have to sit on an empty stomach. I expressed to her that I felt bad, but the food was cold, and she looked at me as if I was doing something wrong and very hesitantly said "Okay... I'll go get my manager." To which it took another 15 minutes to see.

When he approached he was incredibly brash and demeaning, introducing himself as Rian and asking what the problem seemed to be. When I expressed my remorse for complaining and explained the situation he only made excuses and virtually told me that there was NO way that our server wasn't tending to us because she only had three tables. It ultimately left me feeling like I was being treated like a child and not taken seriously which is incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional for such an establishment.

Even if there was no compensation offered, it would have made a world of difference to have been met with kind/appropriate customer service.

Yesterday, I took my family to Texas Roadhouse, because that's what they thought, they had a taste for!!! We arrived on a busy Sunday and added ourselves to the waitlist!!! It took about 30 min. to get seated after that!!!

We are excited to sit down and get started with some Lemonades!!! Well, our party of four was immediately crushed, because there is no Lemonade today and Victoria didn't know that when she took our order!!! At this point, we were debating leaving, because we don't drink Soda and that's what we all had our hearts set on!!! We ended up ordering Hi C's and H2O!!!

Our food took about an hour to get to us, but for some reason my youngest child's Chicken and Fries took another 15 minutes!!! I thought that was weird, considering we usually get the kid's meal first!!! I ordered the 8 oz. Salmon w/ Veggies and a Baked Potato!!! My meal was pretty good!!! On the other hand, my other child received his order with two different sets of Wings that he didn't order!!! Victoria said she put it in correctly, but doesn't know what happened!!! So we waited for the replacement order and that had looked like two different sets of Boneless Wings as well!!! The Waiter said it wasn't, so we figured half the Wings were sitting there already and the other half were fresh!!! 🤯🤯🤯 The color and the texture wear completely different on half the wings!!!

All-In-All, my child didn't even eat much of the replacement plate!!! The highlight of our visit was the Bread and Cinnamon Butter, which is terrible when you're trying to take your family out on Sunday Night!!! In addition to that, my lady said her Steak wasn't as hot as it should've been!!! We waited so long to be disappointed and didn't get to fulfill our hunger!!!
