Sizzler — Restaurant in Fresno

Why did they close out the Sizzler in Clovis long ago?

This is one of the best restaurants in Fresno-Clovis for the price and food.

If you sit on side closest to the rear exit door that's where the best Servers are.

If you see a tall, thin elderly, hispanic male server that's Mat. He is one of the best Servers at Sizzlers.

UPDATE: 10/01/2024:

At $42.24 for two it is a good price for all you can eat. However, the quality at Sizzler has diminished.

The chicken wings are the same as the Banquet frozen chicken.

The shredded chicken for the tacos was cold and bland or had no taste. The sea food salad didn't taste like anything and the potato salad tasted as if the potatoes were stale.

The taco hamburger meat was not like Taco Bell meat.

The mini tacos was made of refried beans substituting for meat.

The vegetable soup had meatballs in it (Sizzlers use to have bits of shredded meat in the vegetable soup).

The clam chowder tasted stale.

However, the Sizzler plates like The lobster and steak dinner look good on other customers plates.

I'll say the Malibu chicken is always a good buy.

I know that you think you'll get a big steak but you end up getting a steak is about the size of the palm of your hand (post COVID food entrees are shrinking now everywhere).

This wasn't the case last year when I went to Sizzler.

I remember in 2016-2017 the clam chowder tasted good. The seafood salad tastes like crab meat. The chicken wings is always been the same, and the potato salad was delicious.

Seems after post COVID things have gone...

I love Sizzler but this visit was horrible experience. I hate when I pay for something and I don't get what I paid for. I was very upset the lady took my order was so rude. I order a steak and shrimp scalpi linguine, the plate comes with a side, so when I ordered I told the lady that I wanted rice pilaf for the side. She told me the plate doesn't comes with a side I told her.i asked her, did it changed? Because I been many times and it does comes with a side I Pointed to the menu on the wall and I asked her why on the menu says the includes a side?. She answered me with an attitude: you get a big plate of pasta like that's a lot food. She is i can add a side but you have to pay for it. I told her no thanks, it o.k don't give me the side even though I'm sure it's included on the price she looked at me like in a bad way I paid for the food, took a sit and tried to calm down I was upset. I even showed her a picture of a plate she goes she said that was another Sizzler I told her not was here. Anyway when I received my plate there was veggies on the side part I asked the server. Why the lady who took my order told me that this plate doesn't include a side. The server told me it does. I told her I wanted rice pilaf she offered to change it I told her it o.k. the waiter went and explained to the lady who took my order then came back to me and told me that the lady got confused with another plate. But THE LADY DIDN'T APOLOGIZE or anything. I didn't left just because I knew my husband want it...

The steak is good. The salad is good, but the rest is not good. The dessert is no good except for the churrito. The Pepsi looks like cheap soda. The fruit; my wife and I were unlucky to get pineapple that tasted of garlic and onions. I assume that the knife was not clean. In fact, the core of the pineapple was not completely removed. Service: The ladies at the front desk were great, as was the waitress. Remodeling: I think that it is more convenient for the business than for the clients. The great room was subdivided to create more tables for couples. I felt claustrophobic. I agree to reducing the diameter of the tables, but in addition to the new dark corridors subdividing and blocking access to the food court, the managers installed permanent, tight tables with puffy, spacious booths for "2". I can't believe it. In summer, despite the AC, the cushioned plastic booths are too warm. I got a table for 4 next to the window. I had to run away from the maze. The decoration and new floor look better due to the floor and columns with the steakhouse theme. I have faith that the owners will make...
