One of the very few places in Fresno I trust for great gluten free options, they have awesome policies to prevent cross contamination. Refreshing to go somewhere and have options for every course of the meal that are gluten free, well thought out appetizers included. These guys bring segregated gluten free baking equipment from home once a week to bake buns then clean down and take it back so everything is separate. The owner personally talked me through their processes on multiple occasions and he is very accessible and friendly.
Great burgers, if it's your first time definitely try the blue cheese burger with a chopped wedge salad. Great food quality the overwhelming majority of the time whether you are looking at more upscale options or comfort food. Even the prices are really not bad for the quality and what you get, great outdoor patio when weather permits. I wish they were open for lunch daily when the weather is nice, but it's only Fri-Sun.
Seasonal menu changes are refreshing but as anything, occasionally changes can be a miss, nevertheless I always like the idea of doing what's fresh and local.
Indoor atmosphere is upscale wine bar high tops, definitely not a fit at all for our family in the evenings but when it's warm enough, outdoor is casual and family friendly. A banquet room is available with standard seating when space permits but it's awkward because it's usually set up for large parties not...
Read morePretentious. If you order the “house champagne” expect to pay $20 a glass because you didn’t clarify that you just want sparkling wine. I’ve never ever ever been to a restaurant where they take the word “champagne” literal. It’s insane. If you expect every person to differentiate the difference between sparkling wine and actual champagne when someone orders the “house” without at least clarifying a $10 per glass difference in price then you are taking advantage of people. Also if you order the “house rose” it’ll cost $18 because you didn’t specify that you wanted the “regular” rose which cost $9. I’ve worked in the restaurant business for years and I never assumed someone means actual “champagne” when they say it. Completely took advantage of 2 innocent girls just trying to have a couple drinks together to the extent that both were crying after because the drinks were twice what they expected. Had to Venmo them $71 difference for 5 drinks if it would’ve just been clarified. Then no help from management afterward because they stood by their pretentious word definition. It’s embarrassing. Also the food is over priced and not even close to being called decent. It’s gross in fact but the atmosphere is ok so that’s why people still show up. Don’t go here. There are so many better places nearby. Food is mediocre at best and staff thinks they can charge you whatever they want if you use the wrong word. It’s...
Read moreFood is usually good. As with anything, though, sometimes it doesn't hit the mark. Service can be good but, at other times, will have a lot to be desired. Went last night & the service was excellent, however, the time before, our server was really bad & we hardly ever saw her. When we did, we had to summon her over or she would've just continued to ignore us. Our daughter even tried to be friendly, giving her the benefit of a doubt, & asked if she was really busy. The server denied that she was! So, unfortunately, you won't always get the best service; just hope you won't get the gal that bartends as well. Additionally, don't expect to order & get your food right away; it does take a little longer for them to get it out to you. Not the best if you have little ones. Last night, there was live music (one man playing his guitar & singing). It was great & he provided just the right amount of volume so that we could still hold a conversation between ourselves w/o shouting or just sit back to listen & enjoy. However, my daughter & son-in-law commented that the last time they visited, the music was so loud they couldn't even hear themselves think! Overall, despite the inconsistencies, we still come back because the good...
