Since the Wendy's receipt related Customer Site that allows for complaints, limited my complaint to 1,200 which is too few to explain the situation; this public complaint is what Wendy's gets.
I tried to order the Spicy Ghost pepper Ranch Chicken without the ranch. It still has ghost pepper cheese and ghost pepper crispy onions.
However, when I asked for the sandwich w/o ranch, the cashier, Kaitlyn according to the receipt, said, "We can't take the ghost pepper out of the ranch." I again explained to remove the ranch from the sandwich, she repeated, "We can't take the ghost pepper out of the ranch.". I then pointed out how on the menu it had the other ghost pepper items, and that we still want them, but that we just don't want the ranch. Even after looking at the board, and acknowledging the other items on the sandwich, she again replied, "We can't take the ghost pepper out of the ranch.".
I swear it was like a vaudeville sketch. Eventually what appeared to be the cook came up (a woman who appeared to be the manager was standing nearby ignoring the situation), and asked the problem. I, of course, asked just to clarify after everything I'd been through with the cashier that the cheese is the ghost pepper cheese plus the dried onions being ghost pepper as well. He confirmed, confused as to why I would ask if I was ordering the sandwich. I then explained that I kept trying to order that sandwich without the ranch but instead of putting "no ranch" she kept telling me that we can't take the ghost pepper out of the ranch.
He rolled his eyes, entered everything (including the no lettuce & no tomato that was still waiting to be asked to be removed). She finished the transaction. What should have been a 30 second order turned into a 3 minute skit of a bad SNL ripoff. All while a line formed behind me. A small line, but a line none-the-less.
The cook didn't even explain to her that when a customer says no ranch, that you remove the ranch. Then again, he might have been worried about getting into the same cyclical conversation with her that I had just had.
I understand a trainee making a mistake. But literally REPEATEDLY ignoring "no ranch" from an order and somehow instead pulling from her butt "we can't remove the ghost peppers from the ranch" (as if I'd ever ask that) is far more than a fail. That's a trainee who is a liability and will likely kill someone with allergies or other dietary...
Read more-breakfast- Ordered via the app. 2 creasaunt combos, burrito and chicken biscuit. $17 with online coupon. Restraunt didn't have one if the items, substituted with "basically the same thing"! Huh?!? 10+ min wait AFTER arrival and waiting behind four cars in the drive thru. Ordered at 10:20. 10:3X arrived at the restraunt. Received message order was ready at 10:48 (while waiting "by the trash"). Received the order at 11:00. The burrito was TINY!! felt microwaved. Tortilla was chewy and insides were overly hot. It wouldve made an awesome frozen burrito from the grocery store. For the size, overpriced as a $2 menu item. Didn't have the drinks (iced coffee), till I got back home, 20 mins after being handed them in the drive thru. Ice had melted to the point of being watered down and flavorless. The croissants looked and tasted no better than what you get at BK for half the price, at half the size... The potates were a great change of pace. Too crispy for my liking (I prefer soft potatoes), but others will probably enjoy them. They had great seasoning. I can't really comment on the biscuit as I didn't get what I ordered. Not sure what I actually got.... Based on this experience, I would avoid Wendy's breakfast. It was more expensive and smaller then competitors similar items. Also this specific location too WAY TOO LONG to prepair the the order. I could've went to McD across the street, paid half as much money and got twice as much food that at the same quality. And much...
Read moreI usually come often as a Fresno State student to have lunch after class, and I've been happy with the food and service by the employees. Today, unfortunately was not the case. I had ordered the 4 for $4 Crispy BLT Chicken Sandwich meal deal and got a plain Crispy Chicken Sandwich. When I went to notify about the sandwich, the employee, who I found out her name is Mayra, told me I had indeed ordered the regular Crispy Chicken Sandwich and not the BLT. I tried to explain to her that I ordered the BLT Chicken Sandwich on the kiosk and she was saying that that's not what I had ordered and was basically calling me a liar and with a sassy attitude trying to act smart with me. When I went back to the kiosk to take a picture to show her that I was telling the truth, rather than saying sorry she rolls her eyes and tells me that they would fix it and snatches the sandwich out of my hand. After that, she walked away rolling her eyes at me again. I was truly disappointed and lost my appetite. I couldn't finish eating my food afterwards and ruined my good day. Wendy's if you are reading this, take action and send her looking for a new job because if she can't satisfy customers with a positive attitude as she should be doing, then she is in the...
