Perkins American Food Co. — Restaurant in Fridley

I don't even know where to begin!! We arrived a gentleman sat us down asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We told him two waters. He came back with the waters pretty quickly. That was the most service we got for the next 30 minutes maybe 45 min. It was not busy in there there was a party of like four people and another party of like six when we came in the party of four had already got their food the party of six was eating appetizers. I decided to get up and ask is anybody going to come and help us. The gentleman who sat us decided to try to take our order soon as he tried the waitress must have seen him taking our order so she finally walked over she proceeded to take our order. Now mind you we had already been here for about a hr. About another 20 minutes went by now I'm starting to get upset I get up again and I ask about our food, she stated she's really sorry she's going to go check on it now we ordered breakfast which is the quickest easiest thing to make. A omelette and eggs and hash browns. Now remember there's only two other tables in this restaurant. She comes back with a pie and ice cream and says I'm sorry about the wait this is complimentary. Now that pie and ice cream would have been nice to bring home after our meal. Who wants to eat a pie and ice cream before they eat their dinner? Now during all this time that we're sitting there and we're waiting no one ever came over and explained anything to us and said that they were backed up or there was only one cook nothing we just sat there wondering what was going on. Every time that we got questions answered it was because I got up and found someone to ask. Oh I also forgot we told her we wanted a root beer she brought that along with the pie and ice cream about 30 minutes after she took our order. So we pushed the pie aside sat another 20 minutes and then I got up and I asked again. She stated again let me go check on your order she comes back and says he started on it right now I'm so sorry. Food finally comes out I will show a picture. The food was okay the only thing that was bad was my hash browns I'll show a picture. I was also missing the cheese sauce on my omelette. My water never got filled. On top of that the glasses and silverware were extremely dirty. The craziest part was there was a manager who could have came over and gave us an explanation or even filled up our Waters. I think that was the most upsetting part because I am a server so I get that stuff sometimes happens but you want to keep your customers in the loop of what's going on. During this whole hour and a half 2 hours of sitting there waiting for our food no one ever came over it was always me getting up to go ask what was going on. And like I stated I don't blame the waitress the manager could have been doing more to help. We asked for our check I expected it to be discounted for our troubles. Needless to say it was not. I didn't say anything we paid we left now I'm here writing this review. We will never be back to this perkins. We've had some bad experiences at Perkins but this is by far the worst. So I do not recommend going here maybe it's different during the day. But at night time stay away. We should have listened to the reviews because other reviews also stated the same thing of having long wait time. But we didn't expect to be in there for hours. Especially when all we ordered was breakfast. And to give us the pie before we got our food it came from a good place but it didn't make any sense. We would have loved to have two slices of pie to take home. I hope this reaches the right person and you can speak to your staff and kind of Coach them on what to do in a situation like this again. Especially the manager needs more training. She should have came over to our table right away. Or helped her more like every other manager does and every other restaurant.

This by far is the worst Perkins that I've ever went to we got in there at about 1:15 a.m. and the place was not completely jam-packed you had about maybe 8 tables full ranging between 1 to 2 or 1 to 4 people before we even place the order and we simply ask the waitress and the manager how far was the wait behind for orders they responded that the cook was catching up and that it should be out shortly so with that being said we went on to place our order during that time we set here and play multiple games on our phones had multiple conversations and yet our food still have not been out he did not receive our food until about an hour and 30 minutes later even something as simple as a sampler platter was not brought out to us as our appetizer and that simply goes into a fryer the cook seem to be doing each order table by table and not multi-tasking at all. The manager on duty was very rude and had a nasty attitude and the cook didn't look too happy upon him going out to A 2 minute break going back to making orders. We've also found out that there was only one waitress one manager and one cook on duty now with that being said you would think as a manager you will go back to try to assist your cook and maybe doing side prep for the orders that are coming through maybe things of that nature even the waitress being helpful to the Cook even maybe dropping something in the fryer or washing a few dishes here in there and between again it was a nice amount of people in the waiting area but not that many again I say that if you want to come here on a late night Friday Saturday I don't know about Sunday but those two nights are definitely not the nights of time if you're coming after midnight. I definitely will not be back to this...

Everytime I come back to this location, I quickly remember why I stopped going.

I want to talk about my most recent visit. Our host approaches me and my partner with "Two?" instead of being polite and going "Hi guys, welcome in" as most restraunts do. We sit down, table is sticky from the previous tables mess. This tells me the tables dont get cleaned good enough. We put in our order, I asked for the Brioche french toast platter with scrambled eggs and sausage. He orders the southern fried chicken biscuits breakfast. We wait... A WHILE for our order. My order comes out... less than hot. I also got bacon instead of the sausage I asked for. His order comes a few minutes later because they are "still cooking it". When it does come out, its cold. How is it cold if its still being cooked? Beyond me. Also the chicken patties they put on it were very small. We left literally promising to eachother in the parking lot to only come here to get pies to-go. Our other visits have also been very unpleasant. We once came in and we got very slow service because they only had ONE server... ON EASTER. Poor employee... we also got charged for the wrong order this same day... and then when they "fixed" it, it was still wrong. Theres only two people who work at this location that do their jobs real good. Unfortunately I do not know their names, but one is a shorter blonde lady. Usually in a pony tail, shoulder length hair about, maybe in her late 40s early 50s. The other employee is a man with dark colored hair, maybe late 30s early 40s. Hes been employed at this location for years. I enjoy seeing those two from the times Ive been coming here, but the rest of the employees need to...
