RE: 528 Hello,
Never have I been so inclined to dine upon a place such as 528. Of course, due to my biases on basis of economics and the like, I am rather more acquainted with simply staying home and dining, but 528 is something else entirely. Despite lacking in atmosphere (asides from the corner pertaining to that of the sushi rolls), it is as though some ethereal lance drags me back to the establishment. It is not relative to the quality of their foods; nay, I could not differentiate between the quality of a pizza fit for kings than one crafted in some dingy, decrepid pizzeria. Though their quality of food, as parsed to me from my relatives, is astounding in its manner, that which drives me to return weekly is not such. (Neither is the hilarity of the fortune cookies provided; yesterweek I received one read as "Seek help from professionals trained in mental health care"). Rather, I'd reckon it to be more of permeating qualia within the establishment.
I, Ransom Tjaden, as some may know, have been searching far and wide for the Happiness. Those who are not aware, my campaign for presidency within my high school class is predicated upon the notion that upon my victory, I shall finally discover the secrets which the Happiness holds. Unfortunately, due to my unfortunate defeat at the hands of Kettler, I have had to search far and wide for the Happiness. Whithersoever it may be; I have yet to find. I was once tantalizingly close, so imperceivably upon the terminus of unknowing, and yet the conjugational powers at play had turned my "seek" into "sought". And thus my search had led me to the whispers of the Towers of Mana, those emanating bulwarks which shine the night's sky, whom had told me of the grand Nameless Tower. This unchristened titan is said to contain the place of repose of the Happiness, and I seek to ascend its many floors and rooms and labyrinthine layout, all in search of the incorporeal yet ever present Daybreak.
One might ask what any of this unparseable gobbledygook is supposed to mean, and to that I say unto you, "It need not be known". For upon my search for that Promise which I have made unto my fellow cohorts and affiliates, I have been led to this Bastion of Qualia. All that may need be known, is that this location, 528 Asian Bistro, within it flows ambrosia. Clearly, such hallowed premises were not constructed of shoddyful materials, for within them amrita was baked. This place, 528, is but a stepping stone towards the Nameless. Upon my journey, the Mana has guided me to this location, showing me the true importance of such a place. The sycophants which speak of it ill are of the yester; ironic for it is 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 who defenestrate such. Importance crackles in its aire.
Come hither. Discover whither it brings.
That is all I have to...
Read moreOk, I have to edit my review. Stan, the manager of 528 Asian Bistro, came to my house with a refund AND a new order of General Tzo’s bean curd and lots of fried spring rolls. This time it was all made correctly. That was real General Tzo’s sauce this time and it was delicious! I usually make about 4 meals out of one order of bean curd but this was so good I ate the whole thing. So, thank you so much, Stan. It was an honor to meet you. You have not lost me as a customer and there is still at least one restaurant in the area that wants to feed a vegan!
I don’t like to have to write this but the quality of the food from 528 Bistro has been going down lately. Today I ordered fried spring rolls and general Tzo’s Bean Curd as usual. I bit into a spring roll and had to spit it out. It appears to contain beef instead of vegetables like they always have in the past. I don’t know what kind of sauce was on the bean curd but it was runny and tasteless. It’s definitely not General Tzo’s sauce. This used to be one of my favorite places but I’m afraid this is the last order I will place with them. I am vegan and it is getting increasingly difficult to eat take-out anymore as my favorite places have either discontinued their best vegan dishes or they have let the quality slide.
Re: your response, We ordered egg rolls and fried spring rolls. I know the difference. Spring rolls are smaller and there are 4 in the package. Egg rolls are large and have 2 in a...
Read moreThis was my 1st time eating here. My husband and I were seated quickly. It was very clean inside. We ordered crab puffs as an appetizer and they were really good. I got the lunch sesame chicken and my husband got the lunch teriyaki chicken. You get a lot of food for the price. The wonton soup was the best I've ever had. I didn't care for the spring rolls. They were all mushy inside and had a bad taste. The sesame chicken was okay but a lot of the broccoli was brown and hard. The fried rice was just okay. My husband didn't know the teriyaki chicken was going to be loaded with mushrooms. He is allergic to mushrooms and that was 75% of his dish. Once he picked out all the mushrooms, there wasn't much chicken on the plate. Nowhere on the menu did it say mushrooms were in there and he gets teriyaki chicken at each Asian restaurant and it never had that in the dish before. Our waitress (Danielle) was not very friendly or professional as she was talking very loudly across the restaurant to another employee in the kitchen about their schedules as we just waited patiently for her to finish so we can ask for the check. I had the Bay Area Food Lovers card but don't think she gave us a discount because we never saw the itemized bill. I might go back for the wonton soup but that will...
