Mailed a package at 4:20 pm on Monday by fed ex. Was told by employee that it would arrive on Wednesday. Was told that if used usps would arrive the following Wednesday so went with fed ex for $30.00. A delivery truck Fed ex? was visable through the open door in the back. The package weighed 1.1 pound according to their scale, was only a photograph in a small box and was put in fed ex box to mail. It did not arrive on Wednesday and when checked with tracking said would arrive on Thursday. Noted on the tracking that Fed ex picked up at 4:52 on Tuesday 24 hours after I placed the order ( order placed Monday) and would not arrive till Thursday according to tracking. Called the store. On the return call the manager said there is no guarantee the package will arrive on Wednesday and that the employee must have thought it was an overnight package because Fed ex takes 2 to 4 days. After a long explanation of what Fed ex does and does not do she told me the truck picked up the packages around 3P on Monday. Either way I would expect to be told when it would arrive and if it was between 2 and 4 days then they had only to say so. She assured me that the post office was more expensive. Please BEWARE that if you are mailing or shipping a letter or package that is important, DO NOT use A-Plus Pack and Ship. I mailed an important letter through this company with a tracking number so that I could be sure when my letter arrived. 5 days later, I am still not able to track my letter. I called A Plus Pack and Ship, and was advised that apparently the letter (as well as other letters, according to the individual I spoke with) did not get scanned in order to be tracked. When I asked how I could check on my letter, the individual suggested that I call the company in which I sent the letter to see if they received it. We have used this store a few times to ship for us. Yesterday we brought a a package in our own box that only needed to have paper placed inside to hold it in place and a label.. It was not a large package and contained a UPS for my MAC. We were charged $40 for shipping via UPS. We should have walked away but didn't and paid it thinking shipping prices have really gone up. My husband called UPS this morning, told them what we had shipped, the dimensions and where it was going and we were told we should only have been charged $20. I could understand an upcharge for packing and even making the label but not almost double. We will never do business with this business again and will take all of our shipping directly to the UPS store...
