Bawarchi Biryanis East Frisco: Unacceptable Experience on June 9th, 2024
On June 9th, 2024, I dined with my family at Bawarchi Biryanis East Frisco. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations due to a series of concerning issues.
Food Safety Concerns:
While consuming the Butter Paneer Masala, I encountered an unidentified, unchewable object within the dish. Given the potential health risk, I promptly notified our server and requested to speak with the manager. However, I emphasized the importance of speaking with a manager to report the incident. After a delay, a young man was introduced as the manager. However, upon requesting his name and confirmation of the complaint, he became dismissive and failed to provide any identifying information.
Unprofessional Staff Conduct:
Throughout this interaction, the wait staff displayed a concerning lack of professionalism. Despite repeated inquiries, they were unable or unwilling to furnish the manager's contact details. Furthermore, the server's demeanor suggested a disregard for the seriousness of the situation, as evidenced by laughter directed towards myself and my family.
Escalation and Safety Concerns:
Following a significant wait for the manager's contact information, the server returned with only a phone number written on a sticky note. Notably, there was no accompanying name. I asked her to write down the manager's name on the post-it note, and then she went to the table behind us and started talking to a guy there in a different language. An individual claiming to be a partner in the business then approached our table. His demeanor was immediately off-putting. We noticed a strong odor of alcohol emanating from him, and his speech was slurred. He launched into a series of questions about the situation, but he did not allow me to provide a full explanation. Instead, he spoke over me, his voice becoming progressively louder and more aggressive. He also began to invade my personal space, which heightened our sense of vulnerability. Fearing for our safety, we decided to leave the restaurant.
Unresolved Issue:
Unfortunately, we departed without receiving any resolution or contact information for a responsible party within the establishment. We retained the unidentified object as evidence and paid the bill in full, including the problematic dish.
Conclusion:
This experience at Bawarchi Biryanis East Frisco raises serious concerns about food safety protocols and customer service standards. The lack of professionalism and responsiveness from management was deeply disappointing.
Note: I have pictures of the unidentified object found in the food, which I am prepared to share...

Bawarchi Biryanis in East Frisco is a great place to get your fill. They have the restaurant split into two halves. The right side is for pick up and to go orders. The left is for sit down, dine-in.
The space is simple and beautifully decorated with a bar in the back and classic Indian Music Videos playing on the TV towards the front. Each table is adorned with a labeled table tent for scanning the menu. Our waitress was kind, informative, quick, and efficient. Taking care in answering any questions we had about the dishes and specials.
Top Notch Chef got the Butter Chicken that was tender, juicy, and swimming in the rich butter Gravy. Ordered medium on the spice level, the expert cooks delivered. It was exactly the right amount of heat without overwhelming or dumbing down the exquisite warm spices.
I ordered 1 of the 4 specials available. Andhra Mutton Pulav (best way I can describe it) was an almost deconstructed version of Mutton Biryani. The dryer goat curry was served under a heap of seasoned rice(were as biryani is blended together and a somewhat wetter cousin). The dish was everything I could have hoped and dreamt of. Succulent, curry smothered, spicy goat, that was so tender you could literally suck the meat right off the bone! The spiced basmati rice being served on top acted as insulation for the goat. Keeping the dish piping hot throughout the meal. Accompanied by a side of extra gravy(which if you wanted to push the envelope in the spice category, this is the best way to indugle). As well as Riata ( a yogurt sauce), which helped tip the scales in the opposite direction. Adding a cool, creamy component to tamper down the heat. Rounded out with fluffy, buttery, Garlic Naan for Dipping.

Bawarchi in East Frisco is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic, soul-satisfying Indian cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, the warm, inviting ambiance—with its elegant yet cozy decor and aromatic hints of spices—set the stage for an unforgettable meal.
The star of the evening was undoubtedly their Chicken Tikka Masala. Tender, smoky chunks of chicken, marinated to perfection and grilled before being simmered in a luxuriously creamy tomato-based sauce. The balance of spices was masterful—rich but not overpowering, with a subtle kick that lingered delightfully. Paired with fluffy garlic naan, it was a symphony of flavors that left me savoring every bite.
Equally impressive was the Goat Biryani, a dish that truly showcases Bawarchi’s expertise. Fragrant basmati rice, layered with succulent pieces of goat that melted off the bone, was infused with aromatic spices and saffron. Each mouthful offered a burst of complex, earthy flavors, complemented by the subtle crunch of fried onions and fresh herbs. This biryani isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience.
Service was exceptional; the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience. Portions were generous, and the freshness of ingredients shone through in every dish.
Whether you’re a spice enthusiast or new to Indian cuisine, Bawarchi’s Chicken Tikka Masala and Goat Biryani are must-try dishes that promise to transport your taste buds.
