Unfortunately I do not have a lot of good to say here. I tried this place because of the reviews on yelp but it has disappointed me. I was having my birthday party here and made a reservation for 800pm on Friday . We had a party of 6. Someone from this restaurant gave us a call that same day to confirm when we got there at 745 pm to get there a little early we were told that our table was not ready which was fine because it wasn’t 800pm yet . But as I looked around the restaurant it seemed as if people were not going to be getting up anytime soon. The hostess let me know about 800 that the table that we will be sitting at is still eating and will order dessert and then go. She said they were regulars. So we stood around until about 820 ish. Once we sat down we then decided on drinks. We got our drinks and ordered our meals. One of our guest is allergic to dairy so when she ordered she asked if the pasta dish could be made without butter or cheese and if there was milk in it. The server went to go check and told her that it was possible so we ordered two pasta dishes two pizza another dish and Fillet mignon with a side of lobster medium rare. Since it was a birthday party we were all trying to have fun . When the food came the person who was allergic to dairy for her dish with cheese right on top , she then asked of this was the one made with no cheese or butter. She asked for them to take it back and remake it. The rest of the food was given and when another guest asked if this was the pepperoni pizza the said yes and when you looked all you saw was basil with no pepperoni . We had to ask for that to go back too. Then the steak came and it was medium but as everyone got there food I still didn’t receive my lobster. Finally about 5 min later I asked where my lobster was the serve said it was coming. Then as one person was done with there meal they asked again where the lobster was. So then the lobster came after most people were done with there meal. I got up from the table and asked for the manager. She was actually sitting across from us at a table when I went to go tell her about my experience she said well I wish you would of told me sooner. My reply. Ack was I was trying to enjoy the birthday party and explained that I I understand being busy but when a guest has an allergies it should be taken seriously and out of 6 people 3 of the meals were wrong which is a problem . The pasta that came back was back very quickly but the concern was there butter in there. The guest didn’t feel well after she ate it .I then walked over and the manager sat and continued to eat her dessert with out a care about what the guest just said. That was so rude to have the place you were eating at not care. She didn’t come over to check on us to apologize or anything . She was just sitting taking to another person who was eating and sitting with her. We asked for the check and saw that there was maybe 5-10 percent taken of the bill but wow nothing of concern was taken to action! I would hope when guest are having a bad experience and that one is that a guest is “Allergic “ your response or even your action would show concern. We left and continued to eat and drink at a different restaurant. HORRIBLE customer service and lack of compassion for your guest! Another thing that was sad was that we had multiple managers and supervisors eating at this table and were sad to see how poorly things were handled. So if you want to risk your health if you have and allergies to certain foods or for them to make and forget your food order wrong then come here. I am sad to say this was awful but think people need to know about the...
Read moreI did some research on this restaurant and overall the reviews say that this place was good! However, there were a few negative comments about service and I figured possibly it was just a mediocre time for the restaurant and decided to try this place!!
I brought my mother who was celebrating her birthday last night and the place was packed. We had reservations and were seated promptly. We waited awhile before being greeted, however the overall atmosphere was beautiful and we took everything in at that time. Finally greeted and we ordered drinks from the bar.The drinks were yummy, however we waited over 20 min just on drinks!!
I eagerly went up to the host and explained in detail that it had been a long time since we ordered our drinks and still had not received them. I reminded him that it was my mother’s birthday and I just wanted her to have an enjoyable time and celebrate. In addition, I had added this to my reservations as well when I booked about being a special occasion with my mother.
I asked to speak to a manager and the host informed me that he was busy and he would assist with getting our drinks out. He explained they were backed up due to a large table ordering and explained that they were almost caught up and things would improve.
Meanwhile, my mother was speaking to the waiter who informed her that they were short staffed for the night and he apologized. I returned back to the table as he was explaining to her. I asked please, can you please make this a special night and he agreed he would.
We ordered dinner in which took over 45 minutes to come out. I observed several plates go back to the kitchen as we were waiting for dinner and I started to get a little concerned.
Don’t get me wrong, the food was actually good! We ordered dessert and hoped for the best!! Unfortunately, we had to cancel dessert because as 15 min passed away; we had not received the chocolate lace cake.
I noticed prior to us ordering dessert, the restaurant had cleared out and there were not many tables. In fact, I observed my waiter out in the main dinning room speaking and laughing with the host for at least 10 min with no guests waiting to being seated. We asked if he could kindly check on the dessert ,as it had been sometime and if it wasn’t ready we wanted to cancel it.
We ended up with our check after requesting it with no apology or concerns. I discovered to my surprise, that the parmesan crusted chicken I ordered; was 7.00 dollars more than the menu. I was not clear to why and asked the waiter about it. He explained that I did not want the grit like dish that came with it so they substituted it for pasta and the pasta alone was 7.00 dollars.
I asked him if he had that knowledge of such an upgrade for the substitution and he said “yes the computer does it automatically.” I asked him why did he not inform me that there was a charge and he responded“ the clientele that come there would be very offended if I informed such information, as they couldn’t afford it.” I responded back to him, as that was not a rationale and that I could afford it too, but it’s the overall principal of the matter. I ended up paying for the check and we left promptly . The manager never came out, nor was there any kind of leadership visible in the dining room.
This restaurant could really be an awesome place, however they need to invest in staff and follow up with guests promptly. When service is horrible it disrupts the overall dining experience, no matter how good the food and company are!! With that being said, there was not any attempt implemented to make my mother’s birthday special and that’s...
Read moreMy husband and I dined in several months ago and the food and service was terrific. Unfortunately today, we won't return, unless it's to-go. Te staff here has unpleasantly ruined the desire for us to ever dine inside again! The only female working was a very young server who lack personable, social skills. She didn't smile and seemed highly irritated to be at work. Unfortunately, she was the ONLY person on the floor working. She was training as well, so I can see where her bad mood vibe was coming from. The kid she was training was very sweet, maybe his 1st or 2nd shift. He is easily influenced by the rest of the restaurant staff and fell into the lazy trap! There were a total of 9 people working, with only 2 people actually doing anything at all! The manager sat in the corner ALL NIGHT, a young Asian girl walked in, made small talk at the bar with whom her brother "the bartender " proudly announced to the entire restaurant he hates his sister! She proceeded to the table the no good for nothing manager sat at, and sat with him for a couple hours. They laughed and talked all night without ever looking outwards! There were 2 cooks. An older Hispanic male and a mud age black male. The Hispanic male came out from the kitchen once and the AA male engaged in laughter for a tad inbetween orders. The food was delicious, so not complaining! I ordered a margarita when we were seated. The overly friendly bartender apparently doesn't know the meaning of work, don't drink on the job, or why you shouldn't engage in inappropriate fondling on guests. He came from behind the bar on 3 occasions to three separate woman and touched them inappropriately which made me and my 3 year old very uncomfortable. It took me having to go and ask for my drink, leaving my table, to go to the bar to ask. I asked my waitress, the trainee, then him. The second drink I ordered, SAME THING! this time, I asked asked the big hair 16 year old old that was chummy behind the bar all night. He said, "DON'T ASK ME, ASK HIM" and pointed to the Asian guy. I said, I DON'T KNOW WHO TO ASK. NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING AROUND HERE! The drunk bartender yells from the other side of the bar as he takes his hands out of trashed woman's pants, OH, I'LL BE RIGHT THERE! IF I WERE THE OWNER, I'D FIRE EVERYONE and start my hiring process all over! A nice place has turned into a trashy establishment and want no part in it. It's really sad. Good luck though! I'd hate for him to lose money over these bad apples...
