In my 2 visits to this location, everything was very organized, has informative and approachable employees, and a very friendly owner. The prices of new and used Lego products reasonable too.
Unfortunately, my inspiration for writing this review was from a selling/trading experience of retired Bionicle sets that turned out to be far from considerate in many ways to the client. For all considering selling used Lego sets, absolutely be prepared for misleading lack of information and essentially to primarily be donating to the store rather than selling/trading.
To summarize, we contacted the store and showed a photo of the 35 characters together. (8 of which were missing a piece or two, but the others 100% complete condition). Promptly were invited in to show the collection in store for a quality check as the only selling/trading instructions given. We do not live close to the store, but brought all sets to offer anyway.
In the end, 20% of the well-calculated and shown value was offered in cash for everything brought in, and roughly 40% for in-store credit. It's understandable to ever buy around the 50% aspect of the online market value, to pay venue costs and employee wages. However withholding such a low cash value compared to store credit was deemed by many to be terrible customer service. The most especially disappointing moment was the main employee repeatedly complimenting the fantastic quality of all sets shown, which turned into feelings of an even greater mistake of doing business as a result.
I did expect better customer service from this store in this department, but now I am wishing more than anything to have a re-do of the day, waking up knowing ahead what...
Read moreOwner/Manager was HORRIBLE!!! I had over $300 worth of minifigures pulled aside to buy, but when I asked for a $5 discount on a $28 figure because it was missing its exclusive accessory, he wouldn’t budge even after I proved his price was already too high irregardless of the accessory. He treated me very rudely and wouldn’t let me prove to him that I had done my research. Their prices are already too high but I was willing to pay a little extra on some to finish my collection. That guy didn’t care about a $300+ sale and keeping a customer over a $5 reduction in price. Go to BRICK LAB!!! Or just go to ANY OTHER Bricks & Minifigs...
Read moreGreat place filled with lego wonderment! Employees are really kind and helpful, and they sell a wide variety of lego sets—many are original and still in the box, and others are sold without a box or instructions, but at a much cheaper price.
Pro tip: you can find and download instructions for just about any Lego set online, so skip the box and go for the cheaper sets without a box and instructions. No downside since the employees make sure the sets aren’t missing any pieces, and plenty of financial upside since these sets are so much cheaper than they would...
