Dumont Creamery & Cafe — Restaurant in Frisco

We visited Creamery and Café Dumont recently and overall had a good experience. The ambience of the shop was enjoyable, a nice spot to hang out. I especially appreciated that they had a basil mint sorbet that was both vegan, which was unique and quite good.

That said, there are a couple of areas for improvement. One policy that doesn’t make much sense to me is the extra $0.99 charge if you want to mix and match two different flavors in a two-scoop order. It feels like this should just be included in the regular cost of two scoops, and it may frustrate customers.

As for the ice cream itself, it was solid but not particularly extraordinary compared to other shops. I’d love to see them expand their dairy-free options and elevate the overall quality a bit more to stand out.

Overall, it’s a pleasant place with good ice cream and atmosphere, but there’s definitely room to refine both the pricing structure and the menu to better match what today’s consumers are...

If you’re someone who appreciates unique, thoughtfully crafted flavors, Dumont Creamery is an absolute gem. Their creations are mildly sweet, perfectly balanced, and not overpowering at all. I love all their flavors, but the Kheer and Hokey Pokey really stand out for me! And if you haven’t tried their Milk and Fruit Teas, you definitely should… they’re refreshing and full of flavor.

An amazing variety of premium ice cream flavors, excellent coffee, and friendly atmosphere, make Dumont Creamery and Cafe an ideal spot for an upscale dessert outing. Their ice creams are made with a heavy cream, but are light on the palate with intense flavors. They offer samples prior to purchase. My wife and I shared a scoop of Kheer (almond/rice flavor?) and a scoop of coffee ice cream with a Spanish latte (cinnamon and condensed milk). It was really good! There is a lot of good ice cream places in McKinney, but Dumont Creamery stands out because of its variety of flavors and fresh ingredients(I.e.
