Normally I would Choose this restaurant over other Chinese restaurants in the Frisco area. The price of their food is very reasonable and the food overall is good! One Sunday afternoon my family decided to go out to eat and we chose Rice Pot. when we arrive no one was in the dining area but a worker folding napkins a cashier and two cooks. This particular day I noticed the workers handling the food with no gloves, touching the food, and from the food to their nose with their hands. They were talking on their cellphones in costumer view Scratching their heads not washing their hands… I even noticed several Ubers picking up food.. ( if only you knew🤢🤮🤧)I normally don’t post unless I am unsatisfied , and it takes a lot to get me to say a little but what I observed that day was beyond description.. This incident happened two Sundays ago I’ve been meaning to post but things just got busy at home. This day I noticed the cashier literally brushing her teeth in the sink and then spitting out Everything in her mouth! the cook thought it was funny my family was in disbelief and grossed out! I demanded my money back, she refused and said she had to call her boss to see if I could get my money. Read moreI ordered off their website. The website is terrible. It lists the names of their food but doesn't say what's in them. If you put something in your cart, it asks if you want to exclude any items but doesn't tell you what's in it, so how would you know what you can exclude? Then when you go to pay, the website isn't secure (no SSL), so I couldn't enter my credit card and had to pay at the restaurant.
Around 10 minutes after I ordered, while I was on the way to the restaurant, the restaurant called me and asked whether I really wanted one of the entrees to have no rice. I said yes. Then they asked me variations of that question 3 more times before they were satisfied that I really wanted it with no rice.
I got there 15 minutes after placing the order and it was not ready to pick up. Waited another 5 minutes for it to be ready.
I ordered fried dumplings, teriyaki chicken, kids chicken nuggets, and kung pao chicken.
The fried dumplings were good. The kids chicken nuggets were like sweet & sour chicken with no sauce. Chinese style battered chicken. They looked odd.
The teriyaki chicken was so overcooked that it was crunchy, and the sauce didn't taste like teriyaki sauce. The chicken was inedible.
The kung pao chicken was 90% vegetables and a few pieces of chicken. My chicken was cooked properly but it was in a weird watery sauce. I ended up throwing almost all of it away because I didn't want to eat a pound of vegetables.
It seems like it was all cooked by someone who doesn't know how to cook, and certainly doesn't know how to cook...
Read moreI make it a habit to never leave bad reviews. I hate that people don’t give businesses the benefit of the doubt. However, after I was treated way, I was treated tonight, I have to break my habit.
I placed an order online at approximately 8:47 PM and Google indicates that this restaurant closes at 9:30 PM. I arrived at exactly 9:21 PM to pick up my order and a gentleman was locking up the restaurant and walking away. When he saw my car, I rolled my window down and asked if he was closing up for the night and that I had an order I needed to pick up. I apologize and said that I thought according to Google they closed at 9:30 PM. He wordlessly walked over to my car shoved a bag into my face and yelled at me “I called you three times and you didn’t answer!!!” As he was walking away, huffing and complaining, I double checked my phone and I received not a single phone call. I called out to him that I was very sorry and I never received a single call, but he irritably waved me off and slammed his car door.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have been treated poorly by their staff, and I will not be returning. I understand that people can have difficult days, and that things happen, but this is the third time I have been treated really poorly by team members who work there, and to close your business before business hours are up is simply unprofessional.
