My partner and I have been supporting Wayback since this location first opened. The service has always been lacking but the burgers are good enough to keep us coming back. We had even been telling our friends about it because it is important to both of us to support local businesses. This past Friday, August 2nd, my partner and I came in early evening and noticed there were quite a few people in the dining area. I was happy to see more people than we had ever seen there before. Finally word of mouth was working, I thought. Even still, it wasn't packed...just busier than we had seen it. There were four men working behind the counter and yet the food was taking an embarrassingly long time to come out. People that had been waiting before us were fed up enough to ask for their money back. Multiple guests walked out angry that their food was taking such an outrageously long time. There was at least 25 mins where no food came out at all! With four employees working, why would it take so long? The issue seemed to be that there was zero sense of urgency whatsoever and the employees seemed to have no system in play to expedite getting food to the guests. Despite being annoyed, we remained patient and decided not to leave. When we finally got our food, the guy who dropped it off at our table very casually said "Here you go. Sorry for the wait." And walked off. He made zero contact with us after making us wait 45 mins for two burgers. Just dropped it off and quickly walked away. I noticed immediately that they made my burger with two bottom buns. I took a bite hoping it would be edible since we had already waited almost an hour at this point. It was not remotely edible so I went up to the counter and told the same guy that they made my burger with two bottom buns. So what does the guy do? He goes to the bag and literally grabs a top bun and tries to hand it to me right there. I calmly said "You need to put it on the grill otherwise it's a cold bun." "Oh. Right. Give me 3 mins and I'll bring it back out to you." "Okay, just please make sure it doesn't have onions on it as I requested previously." "Okay, got it", he said. Sure enough, a few mins later he brought my burger back to the table but this time it had onions all over it. He quickly walked away again. So, yet again, I walk back up there and showed him that he put onions all over the burger after reminding him no onions. When I showed him, he looked defeated and said "Okay, let me make it again." At this point I was beyond annoyed and frustrated. I said "No, I am not waiting any longer. I will eat this but I needed you to know that this was not what I ordered." "Okay, I'm sorry about that", he replied. Not only did it take 45 mins to get our two burgers, but they gave me a burger with two buns and then messed up the last time by putting onions all over it despite my asking them twice not to put onions on it. The employees had zero sense of urgency and the customer service was awful. The employees are either incompetent or just poorly trained. Either way, I blame management. Regardless, we are not...
Read moreTitle: Disappointing Customer Service Experience at WayBack Burgers in Frisco, TX
Review: I recently had a rather disheartening experience at WayBack Burgers located in Frisco, TX, which compelled me to share my thoughts. While it is with a heavy heart that I write this review, I believe it is important to shed light on the negative aspects of my visit.
Upon placing my order for a classic burger with an additional bacon topping, I was handed my receipt and patiently waited for my food to be prepared. However, during this time, I received an important phone call. Much to my surprise, the woman who had taken my order abruptly interrupted my conversation and informed me that she had forgotten to include the cost of the bacon, amounting to a mere $1.09.
In the hopes of a simple resolution, I kindly requested that she add the charge since it was her oversight. Regrettably, her response left much to be desired. She explained that she was unable to accommodate my request, leaving me perplexed and dissatisfied with the lack of flexibility and understanding.
Feeling frustrated, I momentarily placed my call on hold and decided to ask for the order to be canceled due to this seemingly trivial $1.09 add-on. To my dismay, my entire order, totaling $12, was refunded promptly. While I appreciated the quick resolution, I couldn't help but feel that this incident showcased the worst customer service I have encountered in recent memory.
To my disappointment, it became apparent that Kevin, the cook, was the one who directed the young woman to handle the situation in such an unsatisfactory manner. It is disheartening to witness an employee displaying such rudeness and a lack of customer-oriented approach, tarnishing the reputation of the establishment.
It is truly unfortunate that a single employee's behavior can have such a profound impact on the overall experience. The lack of professionalism, coupled with the unwillingness to rectify a small oversight, leaves me with a heavy heart and the resolve never to return to WayBack Burgers.
As a customer, I believe that excellent customer service is the backbone of any successful business. It is my hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for the management at WayBack Burgers, emphasizing the importance of fostering a customer-centric environment and ensuring that incidents like these are not repeated in the future.
In conclusion, I express my disappointment in the poor customer service I received at WayBack Burgers in Frisco, TX. It is truly a shame that this negative experience overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable...
Read moreMy partner and I have been huge fans of Wayback Burger for around a year now. (We affectionately shorten it to Wayburger). Unfortunately, the service here is getting increasingly worse. We went there for dinner on Friday and walked into a completely full dining room. At first we were excited because we thought the restaurant was finally taking off and becoming successful. It didn't take long to realize that the dining room was full of people but no one had food. There was literally zero food coming out for anyone. It took almost an hour (48 minutes to be exact) to receive our food. During that time, several people finally gave up and demanded refunds. There was a period of around 20-25 minutes where not a single order came out. When we finally received our order, my partner's burger had two bottom buns. When he requested to have it swapped out, they tried to just hand him an untoasted top bun to just throw on it. They agreed to remake it, and despite being told several times that there should be no onions on the burger, failed to listen and smothered it with onions.
Customer service is non existent. Besides a curt "sorry for the wait", the staff completely disregarded the fact that people had to wait for almost an hour for a cheap burger. There is zero sense of urgency with the staff. It is obvious there is zero management on-site, so everyone just goes at their own lethargic pace with no clue what they are doing. There were FOUR people cooking in the kitchen so there's no excuse for food not to be coming out. Looking into the kitchen, you can see that meat has been cooked and fries and onion rings are ready to go. Absolutely baffling that there was such a struggle to simply assemble the orders and get them out to people when all of it is cooked and ready!!!!
We've given them more than enough chances to prove that they're lack of service was the exception not the rule, and they've proven us wrong each time. It's a shame because the food is actually decent, but it is definitely not good enough to put up with the ridiculous...
