It's been a few years since I've visited. Came here for desserts & sweet drinks after dining at Omeli.
Ambiance/Environment: Family-owned Cafe! Perfect spot for sweet & savory crepes with coffee. They still have the same welcoming feel. The interior hasn't changed much. Still clean inside with a decent amount of indoor seating. It's a quick service spot, first-come-first-serve. No need to make dining reservations.
Service: Shout out to Jess and the lovely owners of Fraise! I haven't been here in a while, and it was my bf's 1st visit, so they recommended us their most popular crepes and drinks. The owners chatted with us and asked our opinions toward the crepes and drinks. I mentioned how I prefer my matcha a bit sweeter. While chatting with them, Jess brought over a new matcha drink that's more to my preference. How sweet & thoughtful!? Now that's anticipatory service!
Wait-time: Fair warning on throughput. It takes a while to perfect a crepe. It took about 12-14 min per crepe. I didn't mind waiting, but please be patient.
Crepes & Drinks:
Iced Caramel Latte - Definitely caramelly lol. If you enjoy sweet coffee, this is for you.
Matcha Latte w/ Cinnamon Foam - Fun fact, they actually don't add sugar to their drinks (other than their flavored lattes). At first sip, the matcha was bitter but the cinnamon foam was sweet, so it balanced out. The second matcha drink Jess brought out had the perfect amount of sugar. If you prefer sugar added in your drinks, simply ask.
Strawberry Basil Smoothie - This was sooo refreshing! This tasted exactly as it sounds. They use fresh strawberry and basil, and it had the perfect consistency.
Brownie Banana Crepe - I wanted a sweet crepe. This was STUFFED with pieces of brownie and fresh banana and generously drizzled with chocolate sauce and almonds. I asked for sweet, and I definitely got sweet lol.
Crepuccini - This sweet crepe was different compared to others. The crepe was sliced into long pieces served with fresh strawberries and topped off with almonds. I chose hazelnut chocolate drizzle. Can't go wrong with a classic ingredient crepe.
Chicken Florentine - As if my bf wasn't full from Omeli, he also wanted to try their savory crepes. This had a generous amount of cheese and meats. Their house dill & chives sauce was so flavorful!
Pizza Crepe - Exactly what it sounds like .. a pizza in crepe form. Simple yet delicious.
Pricing: I'd consider these average prices $$. Each crepe can easily be shared, especially the sweet crepes as they can become overwhelming...
Read moreWonderful family owned and operated restaurant in the corner by the pizza place. So many mouth- watering crepe options! You'll find the traditional breakfast and dessert crepes of course, but also ones that you won't see anywhere else! And if you haven't experienced the world of crepes, then you gotta take a trip here! There's lots of deals to take advantage of too, like all students get a discount of 15% off, there's a Yelp check in deal, plus additional coupons on the back of the receipts of the nearby Albertsons. You can walk up to the register to order, or go to the order screen right by the door and pay there. We were about to order when we saw the Mediterranean crepe being made right in front of us, and that was enough to change my friends mind of his order. Those giant slices of egg plant were so good! Especially with the drizzle of balsamic sauce all over it. They really have some great family recipes going on! It was out first time, and everything on the menu looked and sounded amazing, but I had to first try the pizza crepe. I had never ever seen this offered anywhere else. And it is the best alternative option to the bready pies. There was a crispy, crunchy mozzarella crust that formed along the edges and it was perfect! All my friends who had a bite agreed. The other crepe we got was the Turkey Pesto and it was so flavorful! Even the quinoa tabouleh salad was excellent! I love that you can build your own crepe. You can also get a great without egg in the batter. Not only do they have the best crepes, but they also have great drinks! The very berry lemonade was probably the best fruit lemonade I've ever had, with real fruit pieces inside. My man ordered the Iced Honey Latte, and it was damn good! They use Kean cofffee, which is a great coffee brand. Their mini shortbread cookies with strawberry jam center were the best little dessert to finish off our meals. We will definitely be back to try...
Read moreFraise Cafe is truly on another level compared to other crepe spots. Every crepe is crafted with so much care, and the warm, family-like hospitality from the staff makes the experience even more special. Even when the crepes cooled down, they stayed delightfully chewy, with every ingredient inside tasting incredibly fresh.
I was initially worried that the sweet crepes might be too rich because the owner was so generous with the chocolate topping. But to my surprise, it was Belgian chocolate--elegant and not overly sweet. Instead, it brought a luxurious, refined flavor that completely elevated the crepes, unlike any sweetness I've experienced before.
Their breakfast and lunch crepes are not only flavorful but also so hearty that they'll keep you satisfied until dinner. And the smoothies? Absolutely life-changing. The owner personally developed the recipes, and the Strawberry Basil Smoothie completely blew me away. It's a flavor combination I never would've imagined, but it was refreshingly perfect--bright, tangy, and balanced, like a burst of freshness in every sip.
Fraise Cafe isn't just a place to eat--it feels like the joy of traveling, where every bite brings the excitement and anticipation of discovering something new. The fresh, flavorful dishes and warm atmosphere make it feel like a little getaway, filled with the same happiness and wonder you experience while exploring a new...
