I hope this letter reaches the proper level of management or the owners. I'm not the biggest fan of writing negative reviews on place I enjoy I am hoping that this was an isolated event because I truly enjoy this establishment. This a formal complaint against Manager Daniel whom acted in possibly the most unprofessional and childish manner I have ever seen in any Korean BBQ restaurant. I decided to have my birthday dinner at Mr.BBQ with a party of 16, I went in person to the restaurant at 11am when they opened to inquire the best way to get a table for 6:30 that day as you don't do reservations. The two host told me to comeback at 3pm to get on the wait list as it can take up 3 hours on a weekend so I agreed and thanked them. I came back at 3pm they told me it was a bit slower than usual and just to call at 4:30 - 5pm which I did and I got a new host on the phone who proceed not to care to listen to me and also talk over me when I tried to explain what was happening in a extremely rude manner. I proceeded to call for a manager which enter Daniel who at first acted friendly by acknowledging there was a miscommunication and he could get me a table for 7pm opposed to the 7:30 - 8pm time the pervious host told me. I got a text at 6:05pm saying my table was ready which was odd and that I would lose my spot in 5mins if I didn't appear with my party. Daniel shortly called me after asked me if my party and I could show up now which I said no I was told 7 so I told my party to meet at 6:45. Daniel then proceeded to ask me if I was sure if my friends would show up in the 1st place calling them possible "Laggers" which was extremely unprofessional. If I had the intention of not showing up I wouldn't have gone through all the trouble of setting it up in person. Fast-forward to the check in time at 7pm I proceeded to enter with my complete party of 16 and the first thing Daniel tells me is that he didn't think we would show up... I'm not sure what we did to earn this distrust but it was extremely uncalled for. He didn't even have a table large enough to fit my party. We had to be spread across 3 tables because he didn't think we'd show up again calling my friends and party Laggers. The servers were amazing and I just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I choose to spend my birthday at your restaurant with 16 additional party members only to have to deal with an immature and unprofessional manager. I hope that something is done to properly discipline Daniel maybe get him some proper training on how to deal with people not insulting guests. This event...

Came here with a party of 4 for a friend's birthday dinner on a busy Saturday night. It was crowded and we had to wait about an hour and a half to be seated (which was expected and well worth the wait). Typical pricing for Korean BBQ dinner $24-32 depending on which types of meat cuts your party prefers. Keep in mind that all dinner guests must order the same dinner plan; either the regular dinner for $24 or the premium dinner for $32.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere is very fun, energetic, and lively. It is brightly lit with several flat screen TV's usually playing sports games, and current popular music playing at a reasonable volume. The grills are well spaced out and ventilated, offering a pleasant dining experience.

Service: The service here is amazing. Despite the place being packed, the servers made sure we were well taken care of. They constantly changed out our grill without being asked, and made sure we had plenty of water and that our drinks never ran out.

Food quality: The food was delicious! I have been to several Korean BBQ's in multiple cities, and this restaurant has, by far, the best selection of quality meat. Everything is well seasoned, and they offer great dipping sauces for extra flavor and spice. Soon after you sit down, they bring out an array of side dishes that perfectly complement the meat, rounding out the dinner nicely.

Special Occasion: the great thing about this restaurant is the effort they put into making birthday celebrations special. Once you provide proof of your birthday (I.D. card) to your waiter, they make sure to dress up your included ice cream dessert with a candle and trimmings. When they bring out the ice cream at the end of the meal, they blast the "happy birthday" song while dancing your ice cream to the table brandishing strobing LED glowsticks. When that song ends, They hand a glow stick to the birthday person and make them stand up and have a dance session while blasting a random popular song for a few seconds.

---Since this is such a fun tradition, many people celebrate their birthdays here, so be prepared for lots of random loud birthday songs and cheering, all in good fun.---

Verdict: this is a great place to celebrate and have fun. The food is delcious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is energetic and casual. It does get busy during peak hours, but it is well worth the wait. I...

‘Follow the crowd’ is the most fitting phrase for this establishment. The waitlist is ALWAYS busy on the weekends and on weekday dinners. Be smart and check-in on Yelp for a place in line and be ready to wait an additional 30+ mins after checking in with the host. The place is bumpin, and parking is pretty limited for the amount of crowds this place gets. We went on a Saturday night, checked in at 430 and didn’t get seated until 645. We opted for the lower tier of PAYCE which ran for $32.99. The next tier up was $42.99 which would give you access to ordering ribeye, galbi and New York Strip. We’re definitely making this a quarterly spot for us and will surely try the next tier up on our next visit. I’ve been a fan of KBBQ for a while and this place is great .Our server was AMAZING, she was quick and attentive and explained everything properly. They’ve made it a diligent and easy process of switching the grill tops consistently throughout your meal. Food was bomb, we had 2 rounds and our favorites were the bulgogi, spicy garlic pork butt and the classic Mr BBQ. For the extras we tried their steamed egg and the sundubu. Would probably reorder the sundubu and leave the egg as it was pretty heavy. Also going to add in the fact that the table was full of a dozen banchans and they were all delicious. All of them were also refillable and were great accompaniments to the wide selection of meats! TOTALLY recommend.
