CAVA — Restaurant in Fullerton

This place just opened up and I'm disappointed to report that I would not ever come again. First, they were out of the saffron rice, pita chips and a few other items they had listed on their glass window. Second and most disappointing was the serving size they gave me. I ordered chicken and when the female serving the food used the scooper she filled half of it and then decided to strike the counter with the scooper multiple times like a crying baby throwing a fit. At this point, a baby serving from Chipotle would have significantly looked better in this bowl. I confronted the worker and asked if they're following the foot steps of Chipotle. She then proceeded to leave me alone -along with the long line that they were lucky to have for now; until like Chipotle, people get tired and stop coming. About two minutes she returns with her manager and asks me what's the problem. Like the employee didn't already explain to her I wasn't satisfied with the serving. The manager then instead of just adding a little extra chicken and moving on decided to give me some excuse that it's the standard size and it clearly wasn't even she took multiple looks at the bowl, but in the end sided with her employee maybe because the employee exaggerated something about when she went to contact the manager in the back. Another male employee that I watched was not hitting the counter with the serving scoop to remove half the chicken from the scooper. I brought this up to the manager and she just said every employee is different- how dumb??? I paid 1 1/2 x (17 dollars) the amount of a Chipotle bowl only to get less chicken then if I had just did...

Omg. First time. So amazing. The options for the bowls were amazing. I love being able to make my own bowls. But this one was amazing. I got a mix of chicken and steak and pickled onions and cucumbers brown rice lentils black lentils that are amazing. I got sauces on top of that and some roasted brussel sprouts. The employee that helped us was so amazing. She was patient and explained everything letting me taste a couple of things. Big shout out to Danna - I feel like this lunch wouldn't have been nearly as perfect without your help. You checked what I liked and recommended things that fit well with me. You were just amazing. They are so lucky to have you. Anyway back to the reviews I got the juice and I blended the unsweetened black tea with the blueberry juice and added some ice oh my goodness so delicious. And then the other people that were working were super sweet also everybody was so nice. The place was sparkling clean which in the middle of the day is amazing for any quick food business. “Overcooked steak”

Went here at my wife’s request, she really enjoyed the Laguna Nigel location and had been wanting us to try this so I stopped here on my way home order two mezze steak salads, they prepared the veggies and meat and by the time I got to the part where they are supposed to put the ingredients that come with the meal I ordered and they proceed to apologize and tell me that they are out of corn, fiery broccoli, and pickled cabbage. By this point I didn’t want the shame of telling them I don’t want the meal so I tried to substitute the ingredients with whatever was available, I still got charged the full amount for the meal, after driving 20 minutes to home and trying the food we find the steak to be rubbery and overcooked as if it had been sitting out for the entire day. After an outburst at my wife we throw the salads away and she goes online to attempt to get a refund as I do not want to drive another hour in traffic to exchange the food on my one day off Sunday.
