I placed an order online and as they recommend, I checked my order before leaving. I was missing my side of broccoli and rice casserole so I politely let the cashier know. She turned to another young lady to let her know that I had everything except for the side of broccoli rice casserole. The other young lady went over to reprint my online receipt and proceeded to tell me that I was not charged for the side of casserole even though I clearly could see on the receipt where I was, and knew what I had paid for. She wanted to tell me how it said that it was an error, even though again, it clearly showed the broccoli rice on the receipt. I said to her OK, either way I need it. Her response was “well you’ll have to pay for it” as if I was asking her for something for free! I was only asking for what I had already paid for. I stepped down and paid AGAIN for a side of broccoli and rice. When the cashier gave me my receipt, it was $3.18, which is the exact amount that was displayed on my receipt for side that I had already paid for! I went back in for the 3rd time and asked them what was the $3.18 charge for if it was not for the side of broccoli and rice? She then decided to tell me that I was right and wanted to blame it on being a system error and blah blah. I let her know that I was trying to explain that to her when she reprinted the receipt, but she insisted I was wrong. She decided to storm off to the back of the restaurant stating that she wasn’t going to deal with this mess tonight. She stood in the back huddled in a circle with a couple other people looking @ the receipt and then came to the front to tell the cashier to go ahead and refund. Her attitude and demeanor was beyond ridiculous and unprofessional!!! How am I as a customer able to read and understand a paid receipt, yet an employee who is responsible for ensuring that a customers order is correct cannot?? Everyone makes mistakes, but when the attitude that I was given as present, that makes it even worse. Not one time did a manager step up and apologize or assist in the situation, so the way the employee acted does not...
Read moreWhen my husband and I had an early dinner for date night, we decided this was the place to go. Let me give the good first. The fries were good and tasted like potatoes, which told me they clean their fryers often. The coleslaw was good. I think they used a pickle relish in it. The portion size was good. That’s where the good ended. When my husband ordered his food, the cashier was too busy on her phone to acknowledge he had ordered. I had to repeat his order to her, only to get an attitude in return. He ordered the bacon cheddar burger, and after his first bite, he said that the burger was extremely overdone. I had the patty melt…mine was too. It was dry and tasted like it had been in the freezer for ages. The only saving grace was that the condiments gave it some moisture and covered some o the funky flavor. His cheese looked like it was almost translucent and looked had been under a heat lamp for a while. The most shocking part was the price. For 2 meals it was over $30. Both of our burgers were $10 each. Sides are additional unless you do their bundle of fries, onion rings (3), and slaw, which is $3.99. Add for the drinks. Had we known that, we both said, we could’ve gone to McDonald’s and got more food that tasted better. Even Cook Out, which is right down the street tasted better. That’s saying something from both me and my husband who have spent years in the...
Read moreWish I could give this place zero stars. We typically go to the clock in Gaffney but today we decided to try something different. BIG mistake. I called in an order and my husband went to pick it up. We paid $32 for 2 tomahawk plates 1/2 & 1/2. When he got home and opened our plates he could tell instantly that the fries were barely cooked and zero salt. Once he tasted one he decided that he would take the plates back for fresh cooked fries. When he arrived he said the lady at the counter was super nice but even said she didn’t want to take the food back bc the cook/part owner would be furious. My husband explained that they weren’t done and no salt. She did respond that they do NOT salt them. Which is fine. Well tolerable but at this point not going to argue. She took the plates back and my husband could see the cook. He wasn’t happy. He could tell by his body language. He transferred the burger and onion rings to another takeout box to wait for fresh fries. By now the other food is cold so my husband requested completely fresh. He left with our fresh food. I can say the fries were good and crispy. A touch overcooked but that was more tolerable than almost raw. However the onion rings were so hard. And now to the burger. The patties were super thing and burnt. They were so dry. Also the chili wasn’t chili at all. Just dry ground beef with no flavor. Such a...
