This place has some very disrespectful waitresses that seem to go out of there way to flirt with the men, in this case intentionally trying to make my wife mad but also making me uncomfortable in the process. I don't know what that ladies issue was but apparently did not like my wife and was trying to get under her skin. Then was apparently delighted at the fact that it worked a little. When asked to speak with her manager she got her coworker instead, my guess is because she knew she was wrong and that her coworker would back her up. After starting to get a little loud about how she over charged us and attracting the attention of her boss she stated sarcastically "I think the world of y'all so I'm going to pay for this myself" snatched the ticket out of my wife's hand and walked off talking rudely about my wife. The order only consisted of a triple hash browns and a waffle. Just to throw this in to, me and my wife were going to pay separate so she could use her coupon for her bday for a free waffle but the waitress told us they couldn't do that (which if it's separate paying orders you are aloud to use 1 coupon per ticket) but just because she didn't like my wife for some unknown reason we were refused my wife bday waffle. On top of all of this, this was a horrible start to my wife's bday(who as well worked for wafflehouse for 7 years) and knew we could both order and pay for ours separately to comply with their policy of one coupon per order/ticket. Also the same waitress among a few others loudly talk about the customers amongst themselves behind the bar and with some of the customers. But there are a few very nice women who are waitresses there, my count is around 3 that go beyond their job to make sure your happy when you leave. I've never been to a wafflehouse that has treated/judged us even half this bad it's completely disgusting to me as a person. They talk bad about homeless people because they aren't able to tip as well as some other people. I don't see us going back there...
Read moreLately I'm stuck on the Cheesesteak Melt plate with my hash browns scattered, covered and smothered. Our server, Connie, was excellent (she works the overnight shift, and she's not only an excellent server, but a Hilariously Witty one!). The cook, some guy from one of the Spartanburg stores (he tells people he's the manager, but he's really just a shift supervisor with an attitude. He spent almost the entire time we were there out back smoking) is a great cook! But the attitude he had is the reason for the 4⭐ instead of 5⭐Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! I just didn't care for how he spoke to people- especially about another employee (I mean you're really going to stand there, tell a CUSTOMER that getting him a to go cup "Ain't MY job. That's HER JOB. I'm the Manager. SHE'S the waitress." While you're pointing your finger at the woman who is the only saving grace at that moment.... I mean REALLY??? Get with the program, mister because the last time I checked if you actually had the title of Shift Supervisor or Manager attached to your name? EVERY Job in that building is yours!) I felt quite embarrassed for her, bc she's an amazing lady! My friend-girl drinks coffee like it's going outta style, and not once did she ever run out of it! Connie's the only one that can keep her coffee cup full & the creamer stacked on the table! In my humble opine? Connie's the reason I go out of my way to the store on Hyatt St. with my friends every week. And if she's not working? I...
Read moreI would just like to say that I was hired for a waitress after having a interview I declined. She was judging me from the minute I walked in. Looking me up and down informed me my pants was to tight. We don't do that here proceeds to tell me my shirt size cause I'm bigger chested after telling her what size I wear she informs me I needed whatever size she wanted me in. I've been in the restaurant business my whole life and you're telling me your the manager and you just started your shift and you looked like you cooked for the entire day. Apron was dirty long hair not secured her pants looked tight to me. She talked to me like I was a idiot I'm new to the area and had questions about where the training was held. I see they hiring for every position still maybe if she was a little nicer they wouldn't be constantly hiring if she talked to a stranger this way I can imagine how she talks to...
