Well this issue isn't just as simple as x or y. This is caused by a habitual problem at this location. I have previously complained to management, and I can see that it wasn't taken to heart or acted on. Now I apologize a head of time, because this is going to be a bit rambling.
In this particular visit, besides the fact that the entryway was a mess, with dirt and trash on the floor, the trash cans were also overflowing with garbage. When I walked up to the counter, after not being greeted I can see that they are cleaning the food heating things, sorry I don’t work in a restaurant so I don’t know the fancy name. They cast the food to the side to warm, likely to unsafe temperatures.
To be honest though, if this was the only issue I wouldn’t have even left a review. I’ve come to understand that in customer service, you don’t expect good customer service, but marginal, occasionally you will be surprised by genuine kindness and willingness to serve, but in most cases, they are there for the check first. And you know what, I’m fine with this. I stood in line as the staff talked for what seemed like an honest 1-2 minutes, and the chap cleaning the food heating bath pan things, scrubbing filthy disgusting grime continued to work away. (Not the visual I want in a food preparation place, but again, mediocre is the expectation level) After the employees finish their conversation someone comes over to make my food, this met my expectations, even given the disorganized and cluttered set up, since the food was set all over the place.
After paying, this is where we fall off the track, and honestly if I hadn’t paid already I would have walked out. The employee who made my food, whom I assume is a leader of some sort told the employee to toss some gloves on and help out. Mind you this is the same employee who from my vantage point was wrist deep in funky, skuzzy, dirty, and vile filth. Like that thin layer of vinyl is all you need, and mind you it wasn’t him deciding to take a short cut and just “toss on some gloves” this was the direction from his boss.
Now as I mentioned before, I don’t work in food service. As long as I’m blissfully ignorant to the disgusting conditions in back, I don’t care if you are storing the chicken in paper bags on the floor of the backroom. However when your lack of food safety, in addition to what was also unhealthy food storage on the front end, which was revolting, has pushed me over the edge. I am now writing essay length tirade after spending an hour cooling down.
Now as I echoed before, this isn’t my first time experiencing what most would call bad customer service. The last time I went to this location I also left a scathing survey, because of the employee’s general disinterest in service and desire to play on their phones. Nothing came of it, and this has cemented that the issue isn’t the employees but this locations leadership. They do not take to heed the warning signs, reading these google reviews, I can see this isn’t a unique experience.
In the end, I will never go to this location again, it is the epitaph of a lost cause.
I hope that location can pull it together, before someone catches Salmonella or E.coli, and you have a Chipotle...
Read moreUpon entering the location, I first noticed that the hand sanitizer dispenser in the line was empty and had a wad of chewing gum stuck to the front of it. Gross. No one felt like taking care of that? At the counter, one employee was finishing an online order and did not remove her attention at all from this order. While she was finishing, another employee emerged from the back but to help this employee finish the nearly-already-finished order and did not greet me, even though we made eye contact.
At this point, I make eye contact with yet another employee who is in the back behind the counter. She didn't acknowledge me either but instead just decided to switch her eye contact between me and the two others up front handling their finished order. Still, no one has said a single thing to me. I'm standing at the counter, ready to order. I'm not distracted or acting like I'm not ready at all. No one could even be bothered to tell me they'd be with me in a moment.
The straw that broke the camel's back here was when a fourth employee emerged, saw me, but instead decided to horse around with the two ladies up front. Yes, horsing around. The young man was playfully/aggressively hugging another employee and playing around by the register...
I had had it by then and made it a point of walking past the register and out the door with nothing. Not one of those employees tried to reconcile and one of them even shouted "BYE" as I left.
This is hands-down the worst Qdoba location how and this one has a 4.7* rating on UberEats is beyond me. In the end, I think I'm grateful and dodged a bullet. Just looking at how messy and disgusting the food counter was, I'm pretty sure I would not have enjoyed my order.
No one at that store gives a single care about customers.Right now, I'm awaiting an UberEats order from a completely different location with a better rating and, yes, I'm willing to pay extra on that...
Read moreOrdered for dinner. 4 burritos, 3 tacos, 1 side of rice and chips. Ordered it for curbside pickup. The 2 spots for curbside were takin by people not even there for Qdoba. We followed the instructions for pick up. And waited over 15 minutes. I finally called them on the phone and they brought 3 bags of food out. Got all the way home (shld have checked the food first) and unloaded everything. We were missing TWO burritos but had an extra rice. I tried to call them as I had a free delivery coupon and wanted them to deliver what they shorted us. I called for a straight half an hour and it was busy the whole time. My son and I were super hungry so hopped back in the car to drive bk over forgetting the receipt. The sign on the door said they were out of sour cream and lettuce. Which both of us had wanted. The guy that I told we were shorted was at first pretty rude because I had forgotten the receipt. I was able to pull it up on my phone but he said he was going to go in the back and print it out himself. Making us wait even longer. Told them I'd be happy to read off what we were missing but they said no. After about 5 min one of the girls came over to me confused on the burrito. So I had to read it off my phone after all. But she had already messed it up. I didn't want her to throw the burrito away so I said I'd just eat that one. The one man there did try to make it better but I don't think I'd ever go to that franchise again. On top of that, the rice literally was disgusting and we threw it out. No one would eat it. We aren't rich so spending $70 on a meal is a BIG deal. Literally no aspect of our experience was...
