Subway — Restaurant in Gaines Charter Township

Rude manager. My son ordered a footlong. Everything was going quite alright up to the point of cutting the sandwich. The boy (he looked less than 18 years old) cut the sandwich and, instead of lifting it on the waxed paper and placing it on the wrapping paper, he lifted the sandwich from both ends from the waxed paper and the chicken and veggies fell off. I watched if he would take the items and put back. He didn't. I asked him to do so but he ignored me. He gave the sandwich to the cashier who asked for my payment.

I asked him why he didn't put the meat and veggies that fell off back even after I asked him to. He claimed he didn't hear me to which I said he didn't need me to say anything for him to do the right thing. At that point, a slightly older boy who must have been the manager walked in from the back and said they boy did exactly how he was trained. I asked if he saw what the boy did. He said he didn't. How then can you say he did exactly how he was trained, I asked. He said nothing. But he offered to replace the veggies that fell off and not the chicken. Nor would he be making another sandwich. I told him I won't pay for service not rendered (he jumped in and said then leave) and we left.

I don't normally write reviews especially negative ones. But this one deserves to be noted. Better training of both the crew and this arrogant boy-manager may be needed. For us, we won't be going...

Went in today to get a 6inch grilled chicken breast sandwich. Was only asked if I wanted it toasted. I declined. After paying and opening up my sandwich I felt it was cold all around!? They did not heat up the chicken breast. I returned to the drive thru to ask why wasn't the chicken heated up. The subway worker explained to me that I did not want it toasted so it comes cold. And that they couldn't take the food back to heat it up for me due to policy for cross contamination. Been to Subway several times and never had my chicken not heated without toasting the sandwich. I wasn't even asked if I wanted the meat heated up. Who eats cold chicken breast?? The only option I was given was to buy another piece of chicken and they will heat it!!? Really?? Horrible and I will definitely not be going back there. Didn't realize when you go to Subway you should say toast my meat please. Ridiculous. Toasted is commonly referred to the bread. This is hands down the trashiest and most unprofessional Subway I have ever been to!

All of the countertops were dirty, there were flies around the food, and the staff literally huffed and grunted with every move.

The most audacious part of this experience was the fact that I go in there in a completely dead environment, only for one of the employees to ask me to hand them a bag of chips from over the counter for another order coming through the drive-through, because they were too lazy to walk around the counter and grab it themselves.

What makes this even worse is that the manager on duty literally let it all happen and threw me out after I told them how not okay and unprofessional that is.

I'm sorry, but you are there to get paid to do a job, not the customers who come in there and pay you for a service, let alone your paycheck.
