Bakery 1908 has a location in Gainesville!!! Since Sweet Buns closed earlier last year or so, Gainesville has been missing an Asian bakery and now we have one again šŸ„° Get your baked treats fix and sweet matcha tea latte here. They recently opened so their automated order machine was down, but the customer service at the cashier was top-notch. Very friendly staff and place was as clean (or maybe cleaner?) than their Orlando location. DEFINITELY worth it to become one of their free members for the free treats. I'd come back here with my husband and 1000% recommend it to co-workers/friends. Thanks for bringing your tasty food and drinks to Gainesville!

So happy we have a bakery again. I have only tried 2 of their rolls so far so I can't give a comprehensive over view of their stock, but I can say that what I have had has been very good. I have had the Dulce de Leche bun and the Red bean bun so far. The D-bun was very soft and while I found the filling to be on the verge of too sweet (only when there was more filling then bread - very center of the roll). Now I am biased, but the R-bun was amazing! I love red bean paste and this bun was filled with it and so soft. I will very much have to show restraint and not buy one everyday to eat....I don't see that working out well.

My family is from Hong Kong and this is the closest we ever got to buns similar enough without need to flying all the way to New York or San Francisco. We got the almond cake, which was such a soft spongey texture vanilla flavored. We also got the Japanese cheese cake (very fluffy!), egg sandwich, pistachio croissant, and a whole box of savory buns! We donā€™t gotta worry about breakfast for the rest of the week. And best thing is that they are open early (8AM) and provide many ways to score a delicious bite! Definitely recommend!

My family is from Hong Kong and this is the closest we ever got to buns similar enough without need to flying all the way to New York or San Francisco. We got the almond cake, which was such a soft spongey texture vanilla flavored. We also got the Japanese cheese cake (very fluffy!), egg sandwich, pistachio croissant, and a whole box of savory buns! We donā€™t gotta worry about breakfast for the rest of the week. And best thing is that they are open early (8AM) and provide many ways to score a delicious bite! Definitely recommend!
