I usually come to Kung Fu Tea for boba, and their Brown Sugar Boba is my go-to--it's always perfect! There was one time the texture was off, but they mentioned switching distributors, so I hope that's been fixed. I haven't ordered it in a few months, but I'm looking forward to trying it again.
This time, I was hungry, and my usual ramen spot was closed, so I decided to try their food. I got it to go since they were about to close in an hour. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and Crab Rangoons.
The ramen had a decent broth, and the portion was filling. The broth was creamy but lacked the deep, slow-simmered richness you'd expect. Read moreTea is on the better side for the Gainesville area. First time I went I was there for 2 hours waiting on a ride and bought two drinks. People were very nice and didn't hassle me. Today I was waiting for my brother to arrive so we could order some food. I ordered a drink and sat down. The owners or managers (two people, and older man and woman) seemed to be there moving tables and chairs around and speaking about refurbishing the space.l. I asked if I should move and the older gentleman said no there was no need and we had a short conversation. after about 5 minutes I was asked by the man behind the counter if I was waiting for food I said no, I was waiting for my brother so we could order food. The woman seemed impatient with my presence and after I was asked she was staring at me with a mean look and her arms crossed. I took this as a sign and I needed to leave and I got up. I joined my brother and we went to besttea instead. There are five other places that serve milk tea around Archer, there's no need for me to return and I don't necessarily know why I was treated with impatience....
