CAVA — Restaurant in Gainesville

Delicious Mediterranean food. Lots of options and generous portions. HOWEVER - serious issues with their online ordering and delivery services.

I placed an online order for delivery at 8:40pm (they’re open til 10pm). As I was placing the order, the estimated delivery time was 9:25pm. AFTER I paid for and placed the order, the delivery time changed to 11:30am THE NEXT DAY.

No problem there, I thought. I’ll just cancel the order. But there is no way to modify or cancel an order once it’s been placed online!

No problem, I’ll call the store and cancel over the phone. No answer or ability to leave a message.

The FAQ page states the only option is to submit an electronic request for a refund, which I immediately did. I received a confirmation receipt for my request telling me my request would be looked into ASAP. But no response yet (17 hours later).

My order was still delivered at 11:30 am the following my day. Which is 15 hours after my order was placed. It was left outside, in the heat, unbeknownst to me. No one knocked, rang the bell, called or texted me to let me know.

I seriously love the food here but if your online order and delivery system is so unorganized, maybe just offer...

As I sit here at Cava, savoring the last bites of my delicious Greek chicken pita, and taking indulgent nibbles of the rich chocolate fudge brownie, I can’t help but reflect on the outstanding service I just received from Carl. Let me tell you—this was hands down the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. And it was right before closing!

Most places would rush you out the door, but not Carl. He greeted me with a warm smile and a level of enthusiasm that was so refreshing, especially at the end of a long day. He made me feel like I was the first customer of the day rather than one of the last. Carl patiently walked me through the menu options, even making thoughtful recommendations. His attention to detail was next level—he got my order perfect, down to the perfect balance of toppings in my pita.

Carl truly turned what could’ve been a run-of-the-mill late-night food stop into an experience I’ll remember. His positivity and dedication to customer service is rare, and it’s the reason I’ll be coming back to this Cava again and again. If you're lucky enough to be served by Carl, trust me, you’re in for a treat....

It was amazing. It was great customer service. I liked the hospitality and the people were amazing. I even brought my mother, and she was amazed too with how great they answered all her questions and gave her the best suggestions and I would like to shout out Mr. Will or Mr. Willie because he was the one who helped my mother out and even gave her a sample and me a sample on a sauce we wanted to try even he gave my mother oh well detailed Explanation on what the different food items was and how they tasted and was they spicy or not I really like his hospitality and his customer service. I think he should get a raise along with all the other crew members because not only he was great, but so the other crew members They brought the food just in time they work together just well, and they was clean and tidy everyone there was amazing and had a great customer service and great hospitality. They all deserve a promotion and a raise This place is better than chipotle. They actually give good meat portions and is actually healthy and not filled...
