I usually never write reviews, but this was too much to not go ahead and do so. I eat here all the time, maybe even once or twice a week, though not always this specific location. Have never had a problem with the food, much less the people as they’re always so kind, but today was very different. I got some fries from reward points to go along with the sandwich that I spent close to $7 for, and I eat 2-3 bites of the sandwich until I bit into a very hard part of the sandwich, almost completely inedible. I’m not the kind of person to walk in and ask for a remake over one bite so I try to pull the hard part off of the sandwich, but turns out the entire rest of the sandwich was exactly like this. Just completely inedible. I decided to go in and ask for a remake or a refund. The lady who helped me at first was very kind, unfortunately didn’t get her name. When I explained the whole situation she said she’d be able to remake it for me, but the manager at the time comes over and asks to see the sandwich I brought in and when he checks it he looks back at me and tells me “so because you ate pretty much half the sandwich I just can’t give you a refund, per our policy.” At this point it already felt a bit passive aggressive, like he was maybe mad at something that happened beforehand. I explain to him that I eat here all the time and never have a problem with the food, and he explains to me that people do this all the time and that they lose a lot of money essentially from people trying to scam them out of free food. I told him that I completely understand that and try to reason that it was definitely a little more than half that was left and that I had only eaten 2-3 bites, and for the next minute it was us going back and forth calmly over what situation I would be able to actually get a remake or refund. I want to mention that throughout this entire interaction there was not a single time where I was passive aggressive or showed visible frustration or anger whatsoever, and there were about 4-5 other workers standing around us listening to the interaction which I’m sure they can all attest to. I went to pull the sandwich out of the bag at this point and try to pull the sandwich apart in front of all of them, and it was definitely a bit of a struggle to do so, which you obviously should not have a problem with on a sandwich. I look at the manager and at this point I’m pleading with him “come on man I mean this is just terrible” which he then responds word for word with “what’s terrible is that we’re still here arguing about this.” I was just appalled and my natural reaction was to just look at him, not even knowing what to say. I respond to this manager by saying “I don’t like this passive aggressive energy” to which he says “I apologize I don’t mean to be passive aggressive” with a clear sarcastic tone to his voice. I say “I came in here so nice man. This is really weird, really weird energy.” Asked for his name, corporate number and walked out. Called corporate, explained the whole situation and did get a refund, though I still wanted to make this review because this was just that unbelievable to me that I could present myself in such a way, and still be talked to the way that manager talked to me. If you can’t differentiate between a customer clearly trying to get free food from you and a customer who has had a genuine negative experience, you of course shouldn’t be in management, but I don’t feel like this was that kind of situation. It felt like this manager gave one look at me and decided he wouldn’t give me a remake, or let alone just want to handle the situation with the kindness or understanding I was showing him and the other workers, and in this case I feel corporate should step in. The manager I spoke with was a shorter Caucasian gentleman named Cam and I had went in for the refund at 820-840pm. I want to reiterate that I never make reviews, nor would I make a review in false pretense to get anyone in trouble, but this was...
Read moreThis was my first time attempting a large order using their app. Let me tell you, I've done a bit of ordering online or by app for a large party lately (12 separate orders with all their quirks) and this was effortless. The app offers a full menu (not always the case) and it's very user friendly. Plus, they don't start filling your order until you request them to using a button within the app (you're gonna get hot food!). Anyway...
I opted for curbside pick up and that was slightly more challenging as this location has no actual curb parking, but there was a large sign leading to what turned out to be some kind of shared courtyard. No parking spaces, but I was easily found by the color and style of my car. Everything was brought out fresh, hot and correct! Plus, she was so great about helping me load up my car. My one regret is that I didn't tip her! Next time, for sure....
Read moreFood is great, no different from any other Chick-fil-A. Staff is super nice, the building is clean etc etc. There’s nothing majorly wrong with this Chick-fil-A besides the fact that the parking is HORRID. Getting to this Chick-fil-A is awful. If you are passing through Gainesville and looking for quick lunch, avoid this one. There are a couple designated spots for the restaurant by the hotel, but they are always full. Parking elsewhere nearly guarantees you a ticket unless you pay a crazy fee (which is ridiculous if you’re only spending 10 minutes in the Chick-fil-A to grab and go). The website incorrectly states that there is a drive thru- there is not one. This Chick-fil-A is great if you want to walk to it or pay a fee for parking. Otherwise, sadly, good luck. I’m a huge fan of Chick-fil-A, but I just wish this one was...
