La Esperanza Panaderia — Restaurant in Gainesville

Today March 13; I stop by the store around 5 pm. This was my first and last visit to this place... Where 2 clerks at front desk; I ask for the special ocation cakes... no one gave me enough information about the cakes; both of clerks didn't shows any courtesy on my questions, by the way one of them was in hurry to leave from desk.

I WAS ABOUT TO BUY ONE OF THE CAKES ANYWAYS... I ask very nice if they can write down something for me at cake... but I didn't even finish to ask when one of the clerks reply each other: " Is Nobody at back, There is is Nobody" they replay each other... I feel very disappointed, I gave Thanks to the one was front of me and I left the store.

Hope this helps to the Managers and OWNERS to EDUCATE their clerks.

There’s nice music playing, but the staff is kind of rude and the pan dulce has slowly been getting worse and worse.

The staff doesn’t really say hi, and they NEVER ask you if you need any help. They just stare at you and don’t say “excuse me” when they walk by you either. The customers are even worse. They get uncomfortably close to you as they reach for stuff, instead of saying “excuse me.” Personal space is nonexistent, and you will be stared at the entire time.

The pan dulce used to be amazing, but after COVID, the options have decreased and it tastes dryer each time I visit. It’s not sweet enough or moist enough anymore. It’s dry and rough and not...

I love coming to this panadería! One of the best in town. This place has a special place in my heart. All the bread is freshly made and you can taste it with every bite. Oh, it also doubles as a grocery store. Personally, I’m only there for their amazing bread.

Things to know before you go:

This place does get pretty packed when the weather is cold so be prepared for lines. I’m not sure if they have any English speaking associates but any person would jump...
