Purely an example of ridiculous over enforcement taken on by employees. The nasty long hair cook yelling at customers about wearing a mask to walk 5 feet to take your mask off to eat, yet have an open salad bar. Pure Hypocrisy. There's a right way to treat customers and there's a wrong way. This is wrong. Besides that the garlic rolls swim in a bowl of garlic butter grease. Some people like that, it's a good way to get very fat and is very unhealthy. Pretty disgusting to me. And the pizza is not good either, boxed pizzas are better. It's a chucked up little dining area and they are not able to separate tables. So the rude mask enforcement at the door is super ridiculous as you are sitting within inches of other customers without masks. Back of the house needs to stay in the back of the house in the hospitality industry, so the customers can't see who is touching their food - a face mask but no hair net or gloves, not following food safety measures. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby like Agave, an excellent alternative, 34th Street Deli, Flying Biscuit, Upper Crust, Las Margaritas, Zaxbys, even Publix deli is better.

Then GM Charles stated in a very rude (almost humorous manner) that we walked by their sign stating that masks have to be worn until seated. Thinking that it was kind of a joke, a coworker said "oh sorry, couldn't read." To which he replied, "Apparently not. I'm very strick about it." Here's the thing... Charlie. 1) CDC says it's OK to not wear a mask, if you've been vaccinated. 2) Whether we wear our mask and then take it off, IT'S ALL THE SAME AIR...By the door or at the table. 3) We were seated in a section where there wasn't anyone else. 4) If you're that concerned, close the seating area and stay home. Big hi to the owner, they are fantastic and we will call ahead to see if Charles is working or if we should go a different day. Jimmy John's was a delicious lunch alternative to the pizza we were looking forward to. Thanks Jimmy John's. It was freaky fast and delicious.
5 star review 2 years ago- So very tasty. Always has been. The salad bar is simple but I freaking love it! I would be so sad if anything changed. I've been going here since I was a kid. I've unfortunately have developed a garlic and onion sensitivity (not to allergy, yet, getting there) so I'm not able to enjoy this place like I used to (Manicotti Monday as often as possible!). But! It's tasty enough that I sometime take my chances with fate and eat it anyway (pepto, ibuprofen, and inhaler nearby just in case). The Big Leo is worth the pain! LOL!! I'm in pain right now but there is one slice left in the fridge that i'm still thinking about. 🤪 Do yourself a favor and go to Leonardo's. Don't feel like having pie? Fine. They have other delicious options and...
Read moreI visited Leo’s on 8/18 for a birthday lunch, at first this visit started off very normal we all order our regular drinks and a couple of us order beers, I got carded (which was to be expected) I had my ID ready and processed to hand it over to our waitress who looks over my ID then quizzes me on my birthday (again, pretty normal) she then takes my order, a few minutes later they bring the beer for my friend but no beer for me, the manager then comes over and asks to see my ID I thought it a little strange but I hand over my ID he proceeds to tell me how he got caught serving an underage person so they’re just being careful, fine with me however the rest of the visit our waitress was very off putting hardly checkin in on us, when our beers were finished they asked my friend for if she would like another beer but did not bother to ask me. We were pretty close to being finish and would be moving on to a birthday cake which we had brought to Leo’s with us, thinking we were finished the waitress gives us the bill and tells us to have a good afternoon never asking if we needed anything else and was seemingly rushing us to leave. We handed out cake slices for the employees and the couple of guests with the birthday party were moving past the awful experience we were having when the manager come back to the table to again, question me about my age. I thought on this experience for a few days before posting my review and it still doesn’t sit right with me. Not only has this experience put a bad taste in my mouth but frankly every time I’ve been there in the past year the service is sub par at best. Wait staff is rude, unfriendly & lack customer service skills. Unfortunately this visit at Leo’s...
