I really wanted to love The Paper Bag, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. I had high expectations, especially given the prices, but overall, I left underwhelmed. I ordered the Jean-Claude Vane Damnnnnnn - It's So Good and got it Godfather style for the upcharge, expecting a generous portion of meat. Unfortunately, the chicken had an off-putting aftertaste, and the portion wasn't nearly as impressive as I had hoped. For the price, I expected better quality and flavor. Maybe some homemade bread and locally sourced meats for the sandwiches. On the bright side, the fruit parfait was a highlight--the fruit was prime quality, the yogurt was creamy with just the right touch of honey. However, the granola didn't stand out; it looked and tasted store-bought, which was a bit disappointing. I'd say it's decent compared to the overall Gainesville food scene. While I do appreciate that they're a local business, and I respect what they're trying to do, I can't help but feel this place is a little overhyped. Would I give it another shot? Maybe. But for the price, I'd expect more consistency and attention to detail.

The paper bag is something special from their incredible social media presence to multiple locations across Gainesville serving up delicious sandwiches for the people. The downtown location is tucked just off Main Street and is an absolute diamond in the rough the parking may be spotty at times but the food is definitely worth walking from the parking garage nearby. I got the Tre way and it is phenomenal genuinely an amazing sandwich. The bread is fresh the pickled Vidalia onions are sweet with just a slight bit of acidity the glaze on the burnt ends and pork belly is absolutely fantastic there's a good reason their featured on the Food Network. You can't fake the funk and baby im grooving 10/10 bring your in-laws here, bring your extended family, bring your neighbors everyone should experience a tasty sandwich such as this!

I recently had lunch at The Paper Bag Deli, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The sandwiches are out of this world, made with fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations that showcase the chef’s creativity. I tried the signature sandwich featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and it did not disappoint—every bite was pure perfection! The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly, making the service quick and enjoyable. Their famous “EvDaBev” drink is a must-try! If you’re looking for a spot for a delicious and memorable lunch in Gainesville, look no further than The Paper Bag Deli. I’ll definitely be back!

This spot is a great spot. It's small but professionally managed. It's very clean. There are tables and chairs along the wall. Good decor. EMPLOYEES: The employees are great. Come over and see Jill, Molly and Sebastian, Daniel and they will take care of you. Thy have excellent customer service and product knowledge. MERCH: They also have merchandise here. Various shirts, different colors. Orange blues, grays greens reds and tan black and mauve. 🥰🥪 SANDWICHES🥪 🥰 WHAT! I SAID WHAT!.... I HAD THE NUMBER 11 IT'S CALLED TREY WAY J GREAT SANDWICH! OMGosh! It was so flavorful and tasty and it was wrapped really nice and the brown wrap and there's another type wrap that's had images of like a New York deli like you were in Yonkers or somewhere or Manhattan. They also have a selection of various salads🥗 and you can also need a sandwich and make it a combo with a drink and chips. Busy Business: While I was eating here there was people coming in and out various customers. Husbands wives, college students, families even children. Everybody seem happy and the food...

The food here is excellent. That being said, the staff is rude and condescending. My wife and I frequent the downtown location often, and although we arrive during the posted open hours we are met to a locked door. Today was the third occasion they had closed before their posted time of 3pm. My wife messaged their account after the last time this happened and they assured us they close at 3pm daily. Well, today at 230pm we again were greeted by a locked door. We knocked to ask about their hours and why they were closed early only to be told very condescendingly that the instagram message was wrong and sometimes google hours are wrong. It now closes at 2pm on sundays. And the Friday hours also end at 3pm, not 9pm. The tone of the manager was so off putting we won’t be back. This is unfortunate, my wife and I love the food but the reliability of being open and the standoffish behavior of the staff is unacceptable. I’d like to add, Sir Guy Fieri would not condone of the...
