Worst BBQ experience ever! Would not recommend this place to anyone.

First off, the drive thru doesn't even have an intercom system at the drive through. This place wants you to look at the menu and then pull around to the first window and tell them your order. Well if you have a car full of people or if there is a line backed up in the drive through then you can forget about remembering what you want by the time you get to the window to order.

BBQ Portion sizes are very poor. You pay $9 for a plate and they give you a little dab of BBQ. Very unacceptable. The BBQ itself isn't that special. Just tastes like meat instead of slow cooked and smoked BBQ.

When I received my food it was room temp. I ended up having to put the BBQ in the microwave when I got home. They have 2 types of BBQ sauces available, a vinegar based and a tomato based. I like both styles of sauces but being from North Carolina I preferred a vinegar based sauce. By saying that they missed the mark is the nicest way to put it. The sauce was straight vinegar! Thankfully I tasted it before putting it on my BBQ. It was so vinegary that it burned my lips when tasting. Worst sauce I've ever tasted.

The bread was like a piece of pound cake and was a sad excuse for cornbread.

The only reason this review got 2 stars is because their sweet tea is good and their potato salad is the best I've had from any place here in Tennessee.

The bottom line is that if you want good BBQ do not go to Whitt's here in Gallatin. Take the extra time and drive down the road to Center Point BBQ in Hendersonville. Their BBQ...

OK for Nashville, nowhere close to top level BBQ you would find at the American Royal or top rated BBQ places.

Slow, slow, slow service. Take everyone's order and let them sit down and wait, no reason for only 3 people to stand in line for 15 minutes. If you can only build one order at a time, people will not come back, and that showed today, dinning area was empty.

Slaw...awesome fresh, but one note flavor! Beans...tasted like cheap canned ones...at least spice them up, add some onion, bell pepper. spices...almost anything. Potato wedges...store bought coated, baked and held under a heat lamp too long, should not be chewy. This item should be freshly deep fried, hot and crispy. The meat...steam smoked? Wet smoked? Use a vinegar brine? Just off...no bark, no smoke ring, no meaty firmness.

I would have been happy to wait 20 minutes for outstanding food, than to wait 15 minutes to order and get halfassed food in...

I pre-ordered 6lbs of pulled pork for a New Year’s Eve party. I gave my name and phone number and told the lady I’d be there to pick it up at 4:30 since she said they closed at 5. On our way to the party, we stopped at the restaurant, only to find a sign on the door saying that they closed at 4. If they had just called me to let me know they were closing early, I would have come to pick it up earlier. Instead, I was stranded, expecting to be able to feed 25 people and having to come up with a back up plan when most everything else was already closed. We will NEVER patronize this business again.
