Bob Evans — Restaurant in Gallipolis

The hostess was cashier, hostess, server and busser… Poor girl… Nevertheless she was as friendly as she could be…. Restaurant was so cold you could freeze meat….. I was expecting to see Rocky punching a side of beef in there. ADRIANNE!!!! Anyhow, Son and I stopped in on our way south on a trip. It was not peak time nor was it close to closing time either. Server Branch or Blaine was the best what a sweet human being… He took our order quickly and efficiently and offered some suggestions for food. This is where I have to add that the food preparation was subpar at best… My son’s burger patty went straight from the freezer, maybe Rocky himself brought it out I’m not sure and straight on the grill and straight onto a burger bun, which led to the outside of the burger, patty being hopelessly crisped and the inside still trying to get away… The rest of the burger was just thrown together, even though he did not ask for a lot on there. I figured you can’t go wrong with breakfast so that’s what I got and you guys just really need to do something about food preparation and presentation. This for one will influence whether I choose to stop at another Bob Evans again and I probably will not . Pay the staff more, motivate them, and ask for their suggestions and input, so you can have the team instead of another middle of the road subpar chain food experience that only exist because the locals don’t...

We went to see the lights at the park last night and our daughter and her friends wanted Bob Evans, so we got there about 8:30 , us and a few other people was waiting to be seated took us about 30 minutes to be seated finally, (why? I don't know there was a bunch of empty booths and tables the whole time ) finally got seated, took our server a bit to get us drinks and take our order, she ,by the way was not friendly at all , she never smiled or made conversation, we understand it was late and closing time ,but you still need to be nice to the customers you still have in the restaurant. I had to ask for a refill , when we got the food , my husband's food was cold , my fish was hot but the mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese was cold and dry, she forgot the bread , brought us all rolls , we asked for both rolls and biscuits, our daughters food was okay she said ,her friends foods was the same some of the food was hot some was cold. For us , we won't stop back in there again to eat, we spent 80 plus to eat cold food and have a unfriendly waitress... Not all Bob Evans are equal we have ate at some that was very good..Just for us this one...

I placed an online curbside pickup order last night. It was supposed to be ready at 7:20 so we pulled in and called to say we were there at 7:15 and they said it’d be out shortly. At 7:50 we still hadn’t received our food so my husband tried to go in to get our food, but they had already locked their doors for closing so he had to wait to get someone’s attention. At 8:00 he came back out with it and what do you know, all the food we ordered was ice cold. He said the bag had just been sitting on a shelf, not under a heat lamp so who knows how long it had actually been ready and that all the workers were just goofing off. All we ordered was a kids grilled cheese, kids pancake meal, and a bowl of veggie soup. The chocolate milk that we ordered with the kids meals were room temp because they had put them underneath all our food?! Very disappointed and won’t be coming back...
