Quite place to have breakfast after 8 A.M.
There was only one other table while I was here, but i was looking to work on my laptop and have breakfast in peace.
First cup of coffee was from the day before and simply gross and burnt. I wish servers didn't lie when I know what I know. It was kept over and reheated because she was ill prepared. The second cup was just fine as she made a new and fresh pot.
Menu is a bit clumsy and heavily Spanish for those who failed to pay attention in hi-school or college Spanish as I did. Order what you want they probably have it. I ordered bacon and eggs over easy with hashbrowns and it was very acceptable.
As a fun note. As I sit here writing this review, a woman with a caserolle dish came into to pick up her chile relleno. She placed it in the dish asked for more sauce to make sure it was all covered and walked out like she made it herself.
I like this place. It has its quirks that may or may not be worked out. The quiet of bygone starbucks is worth the visit that requires a little coaching. The coffee once made is a hot drinkable temperature with refills for only 3 bucks plus your breakfast.
Bring cash. As so many places now do, they charge a fee on the check after the fact for the use of a credit card. Not a big deal, but why spend $1.25 when you...
Read morei went to compadres after a hard day at work on my feet all day and dealing with lots of customers so i was really looking forward to sitting down and eating especially after a 30 min drive and really being hungry waitress was prompt and great and she took my order right away but i was thrown back by my Two cheese enchiladas and beans and rice that came out litterly like 5 minutes after i ordered it theres no way my meal was cooked in a oven or fresh and my plate was Not hot and the food was barley warm and my cheese enchiladas were hard by the end of my meal which only took a few minutes to eat And the rice and beans were cold as well i have to say this experience was extremely disappointing because people work really hard for their money and I never imagined someone would microwave cheese enchiladas and then have the nerve to serve it and expect customers to eat it especially when they're paying good money and have come from being on the freeway for 30 minutes coming from a hard day of work i will not be returning here to eat I would like the owners and managers to think about how the customers feel the next time they decide to microwave somebody's plate and bring the order to them in less than two minutes I left the restaurant really disappointed and...
Read moreI was excited to try a new place with the fam and ended being very disappointed. I was first trying to call this place to make a to go order and nobody would answer. After entering the establishment literally nobody helped me I had to go by the kitchen and ask for assistance the employees were all huddled by the door. After getting the food we went to the park to have a picnic still trying to shake the customer service thought maybe the food would make up for it. The cocktail shrimp was very disappointing as if it was just water shrimp and veggies, no flavor. The salsa and chips on the other hand were good and the spicy shrimp that my hubby order was alright had a good flavor but not that spicy. My kids and I couldn't finish that shrimp cocktail. I had to go somewhere else and get something for us. I can't speak on the other items here but definitely would not recommend the cocktail...
