T2 Yan Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Galt

I will preface by saying my family has been coming here since I can remember. It has always been such a great restaurant with great service, I even made sure to buy from them during Covid to support local business. But recently my family got take out from here, and the food just did not taste the way it usually does. For $45 we got a combo plate with soup and chicken chow mein. All 3 were virtually tasteless. I’m not sure if there’s been a change in management, cooks, ingredients, or all 3, but it just doesn’t taste the same. We called and explained the above and asked for a remake. They agreed and the next day we called back to get our food remade. The girl who answered told us that actually, they would rather just refund us instead of us taking food and saying again that it didn’t taste good. This was surprising to us because we have always eaten here and haven’t had an issue like this before. It would make sense for a business to want to remedy the mistake so that they don’t lose future business. But this was not the case. While traveling, we decided to stop here for lunch since it had good reviews. Unfortunately we didn’t get the same experience as others. Walked in and a lady rudely yelled “for here or to go”! She seemed upset. We said to go and grabbed the paper menu from the door. She said in a very stern voice “menu over here” and pointed to a table. Barely got to look over the menu and she said in a rude tone “are you ready yet”? So we placed our order. When we got back to the car, there was no eating utensils, no napkins. So I went back inside to ask for forks and spoons. The lady looked irritated as hell and picked up a fork with her unwashed hands and handed it to me. I also asked for a spoon because we ordered soup. She grabbed a spoon and handed it to me with such attitude. We ordered a couple of items so it would have been nice if she gave us silverware for two. The ladies were unnecessarily rude. What a horrible experience we had. Their food was just basic and quite bland. Go elsewhere if you want better food...

Great food! I had a party of 7 and the service was so quick. We order 9 dishes and the food came out within 10 minutes. Even tho I wasn't that busy, I'm surprised that they had the food so quickly prepared, hot and ready. The taste was really good as well, the Mongolian Beef not too salty but enough of a kick to it. The Honey Walnut shrimp was great with a balance amount of pineapple, walnut, and shrimp. The fried rice and fried noodles were seasoned really well and the fried vegetables were soft and crunch at the same time. The service was amazing too, we had two amazing waitresses that treated us with respect and constantly checked up our table. They also cleared our dishes without having to be asked too.
