I’ve gone to this location almost everyday for a year or so typically in the morning to get my daily coffee, and I’ve had really great experiences until about a month ago. I don’t know if they’ve hired a new morning crew or these are the new high school graduates but every time I’ve gone for the past month I’ve had some very icky experiences. No hate to the later crews, I love yall! Yall are still great, but something needs to be done with this new morning crew. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve written the nasty attitudes off the first few times it happened, everyone has bad days, but when it becomes everytime I visit this location in the morning I have a bad experience with poor attitude employees, I’m not writing it off anymore. I always mobile order ahead and I always pull through the drive thru and give them my name for the order so it’s ready when I get up to the window. One morning I won’t forget I told the male on the speaker I had a mobile order and gave him my name to which he didn’t respond after that. I then sat there at the speaker waiting for a response like “ok pull forward” (which is what is always said every single time I’ve been to Starbucks without fail). Instead I hear him talking bad about me and quite literally mocking me, probably not knowing his mic isn’t muted and I can fully hear every word he is spewing out of his mouth. Aside from that specific experience, the morning crew has been very poor attitude, condescending, and dismissive. Just all around very poor customer service from the new morning people, these people clearly can’t handle this line of work. I’ll stick back to going to the Elk Grove location by my house where the employees are very friendly and don’t drain you of your...
Read moreWith it being located in the middle of an active construction zone with the adjoining gas station, it is difficult to get in and out of because the construction workers take up all the parking spaces. So, it is hazardous getting your car into and out of the drive through. Also with the parking situation out of control and no support from the local management, you can forget about parking your car and going in to sit down for a cup and a snack. But then maybe they want it that way? No customers sitting down, no need to clean tables… It is just sad, it has been this way at this location since it opened and all you get as a customer when you mention it is a shoulder shrug and a “Sorry, it is what it is” from the staff but never an attempt to make their store actually safe for customers to come and go. It is apparently perceived that the brand name is enough for the customers to take the risk to their vehicle and safety for a cup of coffee. I vote no today and until it is resolved. At least my coffee pot at home won’t run into my car.
Might be better, someday... But I will not...
Read moreJan/30/2025 at 3:30pm . I've been a loyal Starbucks customer for years, but today I had a bad experience. My friend and I, both Asian, sat down for a quick chat. A Starbucks employee quickly came over, speaking in a rude tone, telling us we had to order before sitting.
What upset me was that other people were sitting without drinks, but no one said anything to them. Why were we the only ones told to order? It felt unfair, like we were being treated differently because of our race.
If Starbucks has a rule that people must order before sitting, it should be the same for everyone. But today, it felt like we were singled out, which was uncomfortable and disappointing.
I hope Starbucks takes this seriously because no one should feel unwelcome just because of who they are. A coffee shop should be a place where everyone feels comfortable, not judged.
