Summary: delicious food, might not be ideal for small kids as there are people smoking right outside -- recommend to-go orders.
My family is a huge fan of iLanet's Nui Xào Bò, Bột Chiên, and Canh Bún. We've enjoyed these dishes immensely. However, there are a few aspects of the restaurant that could be improved.
Firstly, when dining in, we usually seat ourselves at any available table and notify the server of our presence. This differs from the usual American establishment where the server typically seats the guests. Unfortunately, the service can be slow at times, leading to delays in placing and delivering our orders. This aspect of the experience could be more efficient and streamlined.
Additionally, there have been instances where the smoke from outside enters the dining area, which is particularly concerning when we have children with us. To avoid this issue, we have opted to order our meals to-go instead of dining in.
Despite these drawbacks, the quality of the food at iLanet is exceptional. The Nui Xào Bò is stir-fried to perfection, with tender beef and chewy penne noodles. The addition of green onions and vegetables adds a nice balance, preventing the dish from being too dry. The Bột Chiên is always a hit, with crispy fried flour and egg, especially when enjoyed with pickled...
Read moreWe were not impressed at all (1/22/23). We came here due to many suggestions from others, but this place is underwhelming. Their concept is to replicate what a cafe in Vietnam would be, with tables for people to sit in/outside, chatting with coffee and breakfast. I can tell they got the atmosphere, but we cannot stand the smell of smoking across the restaurant. Inside or outside, you are definitely secondhand smoking. Their food was only okay. The only thing tasted good is Bột chiên (fried flour cake with eggs). I expected more from Bánh mì chảo, but it was only so-so. My parent also ordered Bánh mì bò kho (beef stew with bread) and it was more like Chinese-style beef stew.
Parking is really spacious because they are located in a shopping area. They are busy, so the service will be a bit rush. All and all, go here just so you know the place, order only the Bột chiên...
Read moreCame here with a group of 5 and we were seated right away with menus. After looking through their large menu, I decided on the ba mi dac Biet (4.25$) and viet coffee (4.00$). My friend ordered their soup nui tom suon (7.95$) because he said it was their best dish here. After 10 min wait we got our food and I was somewhat disappointed. The portion size was not the greatest especially their bang mi and the flavors were just ok. Definitely not the best banh mi around. Their coffee on the other hand is very good but again portion size were disappointing. The soup nui tom suon seems to be good according to my friend. Overall, this spot is just ok for me. The staff seems to be miserable base on the look of their faces but then again it was very busy for them today so maybe I will let...
