Great place for a Vietnamese sandwich, Spring rolls, French baguette. I normally get the round bread that is buy 2 get 1 free. Not because of the promotion but because of how light and fluffy it is. My favorite two sandwiches their is the beef patty with lemongrass, and the grilled pork. Also you must try the spring rolls there they have two type. The traditional one with shrimps, pork meats, lettuce, noddles, and peanut sauce. The vegetarian one amazing also contains lettuce, noddle, but comes with a special sauce consist with fish and soy sauce. It’s delicious. You can go wrong with either one. Their price is amazing, 3 sandwiches for $6.5 and the spring rolls are $4.00 for 3. Lastly their fresh French baguette (made on site) every couple of hours is amazing. I usually get it to eat it with curry or pate and butter for breakfast.
The facility is nice and clean. You can eat there or take it togo. You can also ask for vegetables on the side if you want to save it for later. I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do. FYI there’s always a line but...
Read moreSaw they have a branch in SGV area and didn’t get a chance to try it so since we are next to this place, went and ordered their sandwiches. They have two types of bread, round sandwiches and the baguette type. At the time, special buy 2 get 1 free on the round bread. Pick your proteins and the choice of pickled veggies with or in the side of the sandwiches. We got grilled pork, chicken and Deli meatvarieties (thit gûôį). The grilled pork looked really odd, not your typical Vietnamese grilled pork like the restaurant served with the vermicelli bowl rather it looks like canned meat. The deli meats varieties were good. Have not tried the grilled chicken yet. The proportion of the round bread to the meat is way too far apart. Too much bread! We also ordered the puff pasty snack called pate chaud. It was okay as compared to BMC pate chaud! Didn’t even get a chance to take the pictures of...
Read moreFantastic banh mi spot! Pork belly banh mi and the Pate Chaud(pastry) was our favorite.
Go to this one over the one on Bolsa. This place is bigger and the parking is easier.
We got the pork belly, grilled pork, and the pork roll. An order of the egg roll and an order of the pate chaud.
We ordered near the end of the day, so the bread exterior was getting a little chewy(our fault). Otherwise, the pork belly was tender and well seasoned, salted and a bit like 5 spice, I tasted some sweet, could have been hoisin. The grilled pork tasted like lemon grass and had a good amount of sauce.
The egg roll was a bit dry(again end of day), seemed like it would be solid fresh! The pastry was super flaky and the pork reminds me of the Vietnamese pork bao filling. Place is solid and I would...
