Discovered this little hidden jewel tonight. Growing up in and around the culture I usually stumble onto the best kept secrets in this area. Finally, a dessert/Cafe that understands the demand for it beyond 7or 8 pm. Other places should take notes. Very beautiful interior. Reminds me a bit of a Toilken Hobbit Hole with extra charm.
The host was exceedingly gracious and the mixed crowd seemed native without awkwardness. I would call this place a definite rowd pleaser. It's menu is very robust with a new spin on some familiar Asian teas while other parts of the menu are complete originals. All hits.
I would highly recommend this place for an after-date come down at night, or an escape from the office; or even an intimate meet up spot before or after an event.
What sets this place apart is twice the delivery and none of the gimmicks. It doesn't try to be cool, posh, or hip like other coffee and tea places. It just acts like itself and just is.
I plan on returning both for myself and with my inner circle. I really hope this place becomes a permanant staple. Unlike most places, September understands, etiquette, customer services, warmth, and perfect flavor balances in their drinks.
I even love the name. I am a recording artist and "September" is actually one of my song titles. This place for me is an affirmation in title, hospitality, product, and atmosphere. Another OC win....
Read moreThis place is a big hit or miss for me. Some things are really good compared to other things. Everything here is clean and gorgeous! The Barbie Yakult is TO DIE FOR. My first time having it, it was too sour and needed a lot of mixing to taste good, but the 2nd and 3rd time I had it, it was perfect! I love how its fruity and tangy and carbonated. The castella bear, flan, and banh mi cha bong are delicious. The ice cream hot pot here is pretty good too. Its fun to share with friends. When it comes to ice cream flavors, i love the chocolate flavor! It has a strong chocolate taste with actual chocolate chips! Im not crazy about strawberry, mango, and matcha flavor though. They're a bit too sweet for my liking, but still decent. The matcha latte here is pretty decent too! I would probably order it again. There are some things in this shop that I didn't enjoy. First is the creme brulee. It was way too heavy for me and wasn't carmelized enough. The black sesame latte also wasn't my favorite. It tasted unbalanced. It took A LOT of mixing for it to taste good. The drinks and dessert here are also a bit pricey. Overall, I would highly...
Read moreThe restaurant has a fairly large space because it has three sides that can look outside. They have 2 entrances in the front and back, in addition, they designed the side with glass that can look out to the parking area, making the restaurant space have many directions to receive natural light as well as bright. In the menu, they have a lot of diverse drinks and foods, which can serve different needs such as breakfast, main meals or snacks, desserts. I tried taro ice cream, it has a strong taro flavor and is not too sweet. I drank man cau juice, although the man cau pieces I felt were like the canned kind. But the overall taste is okay. Not too sweet, still has a bit of green tea freshness. The service here is cheerful and smiling with me. After ordering, they even brought it to the table. The service is fast and friendly. If I have another chance to go out with friends, I will return to...
