After visiting Da Vien for Vietnamese style teas and coffee our appetite was stirring for some Thai food. We wanted to go to another Thai Restaurant down Garden Grove Blvd, however the spot was too small and too packed. We took a little drive further down and found Thai Avenue. The restaurant looked pretty inviting even during lunch hour on a Sunday. Ordered their fish cake appetizer for starters and they were absolutely delicious even though Mom didn't think they would be good for the first try. Next 2 orders of Pad Thai, Pah Kee Mao, and I got the Khao Kai which was amazing to my taste buds and palate. My first try of this amazing flat rice noodle dish and I will get this again for sure. Pah Kee Mao (aka drunken noodles) was also a hit here and if you enjoy this Thai dish, you won't go wrong here. The Pad Thai was a bit too sweet to be honest, I understand different cooks, different locations. I have had so many different styles of Pad Thai and a hint or a dab more of some tamarind and less sugar would have made it. Mom and daughter both didn't like it either. So all in all with the exception of their Pad Thai being too sweet, the Thai Cuisine was a 4 out of 5 stars. Restaurant is clean, organized, friendly & accommodating service. They did a great job here, thank you Thai Avenue.

Compared to Banana Bay in Rowland Heights, the city of Bangkok, the famous thai restaurant in San Fran, and the many Thai places I've been to, I would say this place is a local gem. It's worth it, come give it a try. This place produced the first dish that my wife stole from me and even sipped the remaining soup after I took it back and finished it. This dish was the Boat Noodle. Simply delicious with tender beef sunken in an opaque sweet and sour soup. The chicken sate was moist and tender as well. Just piling the sauce and the pickled vegetables onto the the chicken was a challenge, yet satisfying. My wife loved her soft shell crab curry but I know she was eyeing my boat noodle. I tried the Nam Tok but I'm a weaksauce to the pepper paste in this dish, so I couldn't enjoy it as much as a Thai would be able to.

Omg. They have to be joking. $16 for the panang curry and all we get is like a small half tub amount? Wth is that? And wth is with the wings? For $13 we were expecting thai style full size wings but wth are these baby wings? Food is super bland. Would we come again? No. They forgot 1 of my item too. For $200, I expected to be able to have enough food to feed 6 adults, 1 baby, and 1 kid. But no. Portion was too small. This is ridiculous. Do not waste your money here. As an Asian, these are soooooooo not worth your money. Go somewhere else. This place really need to redo their pricing and their portions. This is just ridiculous. U can tell by the photo of the noodles how bland it is.

I’ve had this place twice because it is close and convenient to my work. The first time I ordered through DoorDash and loved both items that I got. I got the chicken pet Thai and the tom yum soup. I felt like the portions were reasonable, and I was pleased with what I got.

But I recently talked to a friend who went there in person, and even though we typically have similar tastes for some reason that she really wasn’t impressed with this place. Despite this, I decided to order from them again this time in person for takeout during a weekday lunch. I got the pad Thai again but this time with pork protein. I wouldn’t say it was life-changing and it was a little bit noodle heavy rather than different items in the noodle stirfry. But overall, I like that it came out steaming hot and I thought it was satisfactory for lunch.

As far as ambience when I went to pick up, I noticed the interior is medium sized. The leather seats looked pretty comfortable and clean. The workers were also really nice and immediately came to help me.

Overall, don’t worry I haven’t given up on this place yet and definitely think it’s one in the rotation due to...

Great delicious authentic Thai food! Wonderful service and friendly staffs. Stopped there 3 days in a row during the visit in the area.

Ordered to following dishes; -Grill Baby Octupus (ordered every meal; authentic Thai street snack. Goes well with spicy lime juice sauce (Seafood sauce) on the side. -Papaya Salad Loas style with salted crab, Medium Spicy: very authentic and delicious, with fresh green papaya, perfect amount of spicy level and ingredients. -Pad Thai shrimp: perfectly cooked Pad Thai noodle and flavor as the close to the ones in Thailand. Would have gone for a second. -Crab fried rice: generous amount of crab meat, perfectly cooked fried rice and amazing taste. This is exactly how I expected. -Crying Tiger: amazing grilled marinated ribeye that melted in my mouth. -Pad Pak Bung: stir fried Chinese watercress perfectly cooked and flavored. (Ordered this twice).

Definitely on my place to stop the next time I’m ever in...
