Hong Kong Express — Restaurant in Gardena

The food portions are great BUT it's basically big portions of sub-par Chinese food. You can look at it and IMMEDIATELY see that when the food looks like no one has eaten a dent of it. The first thought that came to my head was "huh, that looks like when I micro-waved leftovers from panda". They have the food laid out the same way panda is, BUT the reason why panda works is because there's enough people buying it that it doesn't go bad. Uhm, can't say I've ever seen enough people there to warrant the way they leave the food out to sit under the heat warmers. I have to assume that they're just trying to preserve the amount of food they made with the little amount of customers they get, and therefore, more people are getting sick lately because they'd be losing money if they made fresh food everytime a customer came in. The food here is amazing but the customer service it's so bad . One of the women that works here always has the nastiest unwelcoming attitude. I simply asked her a question regarding one of the items because I didn't know the name of it and she snapped with an attitude amd rolled her eyes. I have worked in food service as a cook and cashier for 5 years and having cashiers like this is unacceptable. The food is alright compare to the others food places in the same plaza. It's really cheap and. They have TV for their customers to sit and watch the news. While, enjoying with the foods. There was crowded all the time. The foods their is fresh and always refilled from the chefs. Nice and clean, table and floor. It's a good place to visit.
